In college, I bet $1000 on a game when I was stuck $1500 for the week. It won, but I will never forget that sick feeling all game long. I was lucky as I got a cheap lesson. I'm sure there are some great stories out there. Let's hear em.

I put $15,000 on Brazil in the 1998 world cup final as part of a complex semi-arbitrage scheme involving locals and online books with lots of props, exact goal counts etc. I ended up ahead about $3,000 on the deal but if the score had been 2-0 for France instead of 3-0 I would have lost about $12,000. That third goal with 2 minutes left was worth $15,000 for me. Since then I've never risked more than about $2,000 on any game and even that on very rare occasions.

he came with this huge chilli.. i started and at the first bite i got poisoned
he laugh and took all the chilli over my face...

the worst thing i was in the school bus.. so i had to wait 1 hour to get to the next aqua fluent.

My biggest bet ever was on a bckjack table at the Hard Rock. My friends and I decided to play some before hitting the clubs. I bought in for $1500 and about forty five minutes later I had over $22000. We were all up and everyone was ready to leave. I said last hand and we pressed up big. I put 5k on the hand and got 8 8 against a 10. Split and got a 3, doubled down and hit a 6 and stayed. Next 8 I got another 8 and split again. Got a 3 and doubled for yet another 76 Next 8 got a 4 then a 5 for three seventeens and a total of 25k at stake. Dealer shows 2 pulls 3 and pulls ace and finally gets a 6 for 22. I can say we all had one hell of a time that night and the next and spent money like I never had before on everything. Our tab at Drais in the Barbary Coast that night was over 18k. All in all it was one of my most profitable trips to Vegas ever.

Thank god I worked for a restaurant at the time that the 5 owners were the offices I lost at. They each didn't know I was betting with the other. When they all found out they wanted to kill me but instead one of the books loved me like a son and spoke for me saying they are morons for taking such large action from a guy making X amount of money a week. So of course I payed the other 4 but the one who liked me ate the lost. Took awhile to pay. This is why I love offshore, where you have to put the money up to win. To easy to pick up a phone and bet a few dimes you don't have especially when you chase. Don't miss those settle on Tuesday's days,lol.

$2500 on tulsa against LA tech I think 3 years ago, I think it was the only game Tulsa covered that year
$2500 on Indiana against Kent ST in the NCAA's two years ago,one of the easier big bets as Kent ST couldn't hit the broad side of a barn that day.
