I've watched him twice and you would think this guy is freaking Superman. I'm sorry but I don't see anything that warrants the greatness title. Yeah, yeah I know he's undefeated and blah, blah but I just don't get it. Arvolski looks like he got sloppy and he paid for it. Does anyone think there's someone out there that can give him a "L"?

There are a few guys who can give him problems but the hype is there because he has beat many of the best in the world with his only loss being BS. The guy finishes off the best of the best and doesn't lose. He's as good as the hype but definitely beatable.

So ... YOU are asking whats with the hype and then your next question is if there is ANYBODY at all who can give him a L ?
If you dont know if there is anybody who can beat him then I guess there is no shame about the hype ?!
Best fighter in MMA at the moment , probably of all time , if he shouldnt be hyped then who ?

jeez why is this even a question?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fedor_Emelianenko

Read through his record.

He dominated the heavyweight division in pride...he beat the most respectable heavyweights in the world.

Alot of the heavyweights you probably love like Nogueira lost to him TWICE.

I am not going to go into any more detail, if you can not see or realize how hes the best P4P in the world then you'll never see it.

Shit I asked because I'm not as well versed on MMA as I am with boxing but he doesn't impress me like an Anderson Silva (minus his last fight that was a stinker) where I can say wow this guy is something else.

if you followed mma outside of ufc and seen fedors earlier fights the guy is a monster. he has ran threw mostly everyone he has fought. not too many people out there have given him much of a challenge or lasted too long after the bell rings.

his last 2 fights havent been as impressive but first round kos on 2 of ufcs most resent best....

Point taken I'll go back and look at his earlier fights because I was not impressed with the fights I saw.

Fedor says he doesn't come into fights with a gameplan & that's on purpose. He's so well rounded & has a great chin also, so he can feel out his opponent if he wants or he can impose his will, pretty much whatever he wants. If he feels it out then he can decide what he wants to do because he's great on his feet & on the ground...no one at Heavyweight rivals his overall game.

I don't understand this thread at all. If Fedor doesn't impress you than you won't be impressed very often watching this sport.

The guy has fought the best of the best. Can knock you out or submit you.

If you have only seen 2 fights than I would say you have no room to really comment. And even with the last 2 fights he just stopped 2 big time fighters in the 1st round.

Rampage fights at light heavyweight with Fedor at heavyweight. I'd actually love to see that one though.

Also, his cut loss was caused from an illegal strike but it was ruled wrong and even though they admitted it was bogus later on, the result stood on his record.

What does Dana and Fedor have against each other. I know UFC wanted him to sign right? Why won't he?

UFC wants him to sign a multiple fight contract, Fedor won't. UFC is afraid if he came over for 1 fight and ran through their champ then left.

UFC also won't let him compete in his sambo tourrnements.
