would say buckeyes-wolves...but i dig the backyard brawl between pitt and wva..don't know y?..but i get a kick out of the sheer hatred they havef er one another

We think alike my friend

Ohio State / UM always #1 for me, but I'm a Buckeye homer

But oh man I look forward to the Backyard Brawl every season...spent a lot of my youth visiting family located pretty much halfway between Pittsburgh and Morgantown

These folks do not like each other, and the Brawl just has this certain atmosphere to it

To be a huge rivalry the teams must both be good most of the time plus have played for a long time. That is why Texas / Oklahoma is so big, 1 or both are constant top 10 teams and the rivalry has been going on since before I can remember.

Oklahoma - Texas.

Neutral Site, winner is always in the National Title hunt, loser is rarely out of the National Title Hunt. Stadium is split 50-50 and has the Texas State Fair right outside the stadium.

I went this year for my 21st straight year. Always the best game of the season. You can cut the tension with a knife because both sides know the entire season hinges on the game. It was actually a pretty enjoyable game this year knowing that it wouldn't wreck the Sooners season if we lost. But I promise you the UT fans were scared to death until the last play because that was their only hurdle to the title game.

L5Y, USC is 4-0 vs SEC, outscoring them 167-48!!!

It's lost some of it's luster the past 10 years but USC/Notre Dame is without a doubt THEE BEST rivalry in college football.

A biggie that hasn't been mentioned yet is Oregon-Ore St. On rivalry weekend, I love watching that game. Auburn-Bama also. The Pac 10 rivalries are very good, outside of Arizona/ASU.

This depends on where you live and perspective. As a SEC fan, of course I'm going to immediately think those rivalries.

Bella, Florida/Georgia is WAY bigger than UF/FSU. FSU and UF have only been playing since the 50's.....in fact, FSU has only been a co-ed school since around 1950.

In no particular order:

- Army/Navy
- OU/Texas
- ND/USC
- Oregon/Oregon State
- Florida/Georgia
- Michigan/Ohio State
- Alabama/Auburn
- Auburn/Georgia
- Tennessee/Bama
- Nebraska/OU

My favorite is Florida/Georgia.....

Lived in Ohio 5 years to witness OSU/Michigan first hand
Lived in Alabama 5 years to witness Bama/Auburn first hand

I'd give the edge to OSU/Michigan, but Bama/Auburn a close second to me.

Many awesome rivalries, another hard to pick the best of the best sort of thing

Army vs Navy has an awful lot of interest around the world (for obvious reasons), and has been in the top ten for regular season games ratings for 4 straight years

Auburn/Alabama has more balance and more talent on the field than OSU/Michigan. Auburn actually beat Alabama again despite being lower ranked.
