For me I like the NBA playoffs. My interest in hockey has elevated in the past couple of years but not enough to where I want to watch the playoffs. I'll watch the championship. I do keep an eye and an ear open as to what is happening in the NHL. Right now I have a dark horse bet on San Jose to win it all. 8 to 1 ticket. I root for the long shots.
Such a tough choice. Can't there be a "both" option. I love the NHL playoffs because the intensity rises to a new level. Like the Blackhawks/blues, sharks/kings in the first round?? I mean that's going to be fun. But I grew up watching the NBA playoffs and has a sentimental value to me. Can't wait for the Western Conference games!
Still beyond me who enjoys this shit.. I understand having some of it, but it's nonstop!
When I gave up my celts season tickets, they asked why, I told them I didn't enjoy going to games, that they've taken the in game entertainment nonsense to a degree that was unbearable for any educated fan. They thought I was joking at first.
Best example was the jumbotron pans to idiots dancing virtually every time out. Well this time they were trying to acknowledge John Havlicek who was at the game, and some eninem looking idiot is literally dancing in front of him. Ugh.
