Pretty much all you need to know:

AFFORDABLE CARE ACT:
The law is still funded, but there's no new money for ...

That's it. No need to read on. No new money, yet fully fucking funded through next year. Somehow, the R's will cave again next year and keep issuing "temporary" funding for it. Call it a hunch of mine.

Fuck every last disgusting POS GOP candidate who campaigned on this, yet suddenly can't find the sack to go through with their promise. Mitch McConnell and John Boehner can both go choke on a dick.

Today's dimocraps can be classified as the new socialists, and today's Republicans can be classified as the new dimocraps.

If they tried to defund ObamaCare there would be a Government shutdown. Although I see nothing wrong with shutting the Government down, the GOP thinks it’s a big deal.

I’m probably a sap for believing that they will take it apart piece by piece next year when they have control of both houses but I’m willing to give them the benefit of doubt.

And maybe the SC will get it right this time although I’m not holding my breath.

We shall see.

The final vote on Speaker John Boehner’s 1,603-page, more than $1 trillion omnibus spending bill is in jeopardy after members almost killed the bill on the rule. A total of 214 members voted for it, less than the majority of members in the House, but since all members weren't voting, the 212 against the rule wasn’t enough to kill it.

Time for voting had run out minutes before, and briefly the nays—those against the rule—had the majority. At least one Republican had switched a vote from being against the rule to for it, at which time the presiding officer used procedural chicanery to quickly call the vote passed.

Republican Reps. Justin Amash (R-MI), Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Dave Brat (R-VA), Mo Brooks (R-AL), Paul Broun (R-GA), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Tim Huelskamp (R-KS), Walter Jones (R-NC), Jim Jordan (R-OH), Steve King (R-IA), Raul Labrador (R-ID), Tom Massie (R-KY), Bill Posey (R-FL), Matt Salmon (R-AZ) and Steve Stockman (R-TX) held the line and voted no. Rep. Kerry Bentivolio (R-MI) switched his vote from nay to yay at the last minute.

If the numbers that are being reported—50 to 60, maybe more—of Republicans hold on against the final passage of the bill later in the day, and all the Democrats who opposed the rule oppose the bill, the bill would fail on final passage. It remains to be seen what will happen.

The mere closeness of the vote on the rule—normally a purely procedural matter, but necessary to bring the full bill to the floor of the House—is an embarrassment to House Republican leadership, who had been triumphantly claiming for hours on Thursday they had no worries about it at all.

If the Boehner omnibus is killed for good later in the day, congressional leadership is planning to change tack and move forward with a three-month stopgap spending bill, or a clean Continuing Resolution.

Way to go Big John. Rally those troops.

As for Bentivolio…

In 2010, Bentivolio ran for the Michigan Senate for the 15th District but was defeated by Mike Kowall in the primary. During the election, Bentivolio acknowledged that he had filed for bankruptcy in 1992 after homes he had built as a commercial builder did not sell, and Bentivolio faced judgments from creditor's collection suits in the Michigan counties of Oakland and Livingston. Bentivolio also acknowledged having been involved in a lawsuit involving one of the creditors to whom he had owed money at that time; Bentivolio had started a new business doing Santa Claus appearances, and had obtained an appearance at the White House during the presidency of George H. W. Bush. Bentivolio called a news conference in Milford, whereupon the creditor complained and newspapers reported on the bankruptcy story. Bentivolio sued the vendor and several newspapers for slander and libel.

Santa Claus appearances? Is that like being a community organizer for kids?

How do these people get elected?

Now I know for sure the spending is bad for the country.

President Obama lent his support to the $1.1 trillion CRomnibus just minutes after it nearly failed on a procedural vote on the House floor. His support for the bill might convince some of the Democrats who voted against the rule to reverse course and help Republicans push the bill over the top.

You misunderstood, Dave.

This guy played Santa Claus on behalf of the dim party for their voting base.

Or was it me who interpreted that wrong?

This massive spending bill is total horseshit and a slap in the face to those who voted not even 30 days ago. I knew the gutless crybaby Speaker and his RINOs would eventually cave, I just didn't think it would happen this soon.

Republicans were elected to STOP OBAMA and his radical agenda, not to "work with him" and "compromise"

If voters wanted Congress to rubber-stamp Hussein's illegal agenda, they would have voted for Democrats.

If both parties refuse to listen to the people, what's the next option?

Eventually, it's coming. Just a matter of time until enough people get pushed past the proverbial edge.
