What's a modded Xbox 360 going for? Is this a good deal?

It's on craigslist. Just wondering if this is a good deal or not...

Yes that is a good deal. 120 gig HD is not cheap and UFC 2009 is not that old.

With a 120 gig HD you can copy the game right over to your drive so you dont have to use the disc when you play. I only have a 20 gig it's almost full. Kinda sucks.

I stand by that. I will never buy used electronics again. But 195 for all that provided it works is a good deal. All of that new is like 400ish.

It's probably cheap because it's modded. That means no warranty, and it's been tampered with. Not useful unless you plan on burning a lot of bit torrent games.

yea i think its a great deal...you dont gota pay 60$ for games now...u can get burned games for 5$....saves you tons of $$ over the long haul...its weird that an xbox360 thread came up....does anyone here have a 48 hour trial code for xbox live for a fellow RX'er??? :toast:

last system i got was a PS2, i'm out of the loop, but does this 'modded" system mean you can somehow burn games of the net as mentioned above. Are there certain apps or codecs you need in the system to make burned games play.
Reason i ask is i know from just burning movies it seems everyone rips to various formats and it is always a bitch to get the movie to play it seems.

I have not done it. But I read up on it and watched vids of it.

With a successfully modded system (it's possible you will screw this up and ruin your unit) download the game from a torrent and then burn it onto a dual layer CD. And presto you just stole a game and are playing it for free (minus the cost of the blank CD) This is illegal and I don't condone it. But I gather that's pretty much how it works.

my buddy has a modded xbox that has every system and everygame that came out on the system saved on the HD. I believe you play with emeulators. its great

I got a guy that mods the 360 and you can get any game you want for $5...even games that haven't come out yet. He had the new Halo 3 wks ago..it just came out this past tuesday

I'll give you the normal caution that Microsoft crack down regularly on modded XBox's, so if you think you might want to play online I wouldn't go down this route..
