Good Idea.

If you know anybody doing this (like those guys you used to work with), you can report them. We used to do it all the time at the car dealership I worked at when it was clear an individual was abusing the system.

I struggle with this. I see people abusing the system all the time where I live. Going into stores with coach bags and expensive jewerly on, driving home in a newer BMW or Benz and all that while using an EBT(food stamps) to purchase their food. Buying expensive steaks and not necessities.

It pisses me off and I feel like reporting them but I also do NOT want to be a rat.

Understandable.

The only thing that pushed me over the edge is the fact that I know the taxes myself and my family pay go towards these benefits. I also would like to collect social security some day when I retire. So when I see someone abusing the system I see it as that person stealing. Stealing from my family and all those who work hard for a living. But like I said I don't judge others who choose not to report, just personal preference.

I agree with whoever said it's the kids. About 50% of the kids around here are normal - sometimes lie, have an attitude, have a deranged reality, etc. I can deal with the normal kid. The other 50% are complete assholes. You ask them a simple request of "put your cereal bowl in the sink, please" and they think you've just threatened their dignity. They think the most important life asset is an iPhone 5. Their parents couldn't identify their teacher in a line-up or have any idea of what's going on with homework or anything else. It's all about stuff without work.

How does someone stay on unemployment for 3.5 years? I thought the old max was 99 weeks, it's less now I believe.

What kind of job did you offer 6 people at $60K each? I know you said 6 weeks of training, but didn't mention what the training or the job was/is.

I am sure you can find 6 people in this thread that would jump at the job.

The problem today is that people have become instant gratification whores. If they can't have it now, then f*ck it. Technology advances have helped in this problem but the real problem lies with parents and the lack of parenting skills. This on top of the broken homes where there's only one parent in the household.

The next generation of parents is going to be worse than the current set of parents and will continue to get even worse. Family values, ethics, hard work and having a dream are long gone for most kids these days because they have it so easy. Remember dropping some coins in a pay phone, how about an 8 track, what about life with an antennae on your roof before basic cable came to play. Kids today have no clue, they are pampered with lap tops, iphones, etc etc.

I hate reading posts that say, " I watched the game at work" or " I bet the game at work" I always want to say where the hell do you work so I can call the company and bust your g-d*mn lazy ass. Those people don't deserve to be "working".

Tough to believe the OP; two broke guys go to dealing school and seven years later they're both millionaires? Okay.
