When people ask this I always bring up the example of the San Diego Charges when they went 1-15 (about 5 years or so ago I think). "Worst team in the NFL" problem was they had a decent defense and although they lost week in and week out, they also covered the number a very good amount of the time
point is...the LINE is all that matters...overinflated or underinflated based on fundamentals. Bad teams will be big dogs...the question is, are they TOO big of dogs than can be justified?
