if u want to move ichiro up, put someone behing him that will ensure he gets pitches to hit, miguel cab. and put someone behind him that gets on base 45% of the time on a team with no proctetion in the lineup, miguel cab.

true. Personally I just feel Eckstein would make any team he is on better. He plays excellent fundamental baseball which I love. He also hits like 310-320ish, and always puts the ball in play. I think Ichiro and Eck would make an excellent 1,2 punch. Its not a flat out all star its my dream team. A team I think would be effective with a style that I prefer. But you make alot of valid points about reyes especially

As far as the age comparison. I dont know if that argument is particularly valid because well Reyes is on another level athletically compared to eck. One would think he'd get acclimated to the MLB ball faster than say a guy like Eck would just because of his rare god given ability

certainly fun to duscuss and it would blow if everyone had the same team anyway. you had some original thoughts and ideas and made good points. eck is a great team baseball player and could certainly have a place on most any team and help that team win
