So I requested a cash out with a book I just joined. Transaction kept getting delayed and come to find out, they are saying I had an old account with them that "had a balance". I did have an account with them that I played poker with probably around 2003. In fact, when I tried to open up an account with Bovada last year I contacted them to try and remember the password. I had switched over to Party Poker and Pokerstars so I hadn't logged in at Bodog in probably 10-12 years. They told me they couldn't find the account, and to create a new one.

So a day after I requested the cash out, Bovada temporarily closed my account. They have since reopened it, saying they were looking into my old account and they have determined to reopen my new one because the old account was so old. I am trying to figure out how and how much of a balance I have there. I've NEVER in my life charged anything back, and I wouldn't even know how to do it. Further, I never used a credit card to pay any book back in those times.

Ive asked them to please provide me the information. I have no idea how I would have a balance, but If I did I would make it right. However, if they just give me a figure am I to trust it is legit? Like I said, I've never had one charge back and I've got accounts at probably 7-8 books that I have used over the last 6-7 years. Weird set of circumstances....

Not the way I understood it. I don't even know how I could have a negative balance when using Neteller? I am sure that is what I used back in those days, I can't ever remember paying with a CC. Weird situation. Like I said, they said they couldn't find the account last year and said something about losing some information when transitioning from Bodog to Bovada. If I do owe, I would 100% make it right but damn I can't just take their word for it knowing I have never charged back one thing in my life. And this is like 12-13 years ago, so I don't know how I or them could prove it....

I don't know. Normally when a book says you have a balance that means positive not negitive .

Are they still paying you on the payout request

Rule number 1: Never trust a book.

If they can't prove the debt then it doesn't exist. If they show the account then they can still it's history and should have no problem providing a ledger of the account, showing all debits and credits.

They could not find the account

then found the account.

"They told me they couldn't find the account, and to create a new one."

"they were looking into my old account and they have determined to reopen my new one because the old account was so old."

Moreso than ever it seems as though Books are using computers to identify circumstance(s) that exist with accounts that they can use to delay payout. Software Flags on whatever, maybe brings up Scipts of words for the CSR to read off of a computer screen, as to why No Pay Out.

If they found the account that they could not find then they should be able to tell you what that "balance" they refer to is.

Whatever is going on the one thing that is obvious is that those making policy at many Books nowadays consider those that patronize their businesses to be Idiots. That they can say just.....whatever to.

Whatever words come to mind....as to why No $$$ for the ciustomer. Regardless of whether those words make sense or not. Makes no difference to to them.

They told you to create a new account cause they couldn't find the old one? I'm gonna call bullshit, and even if it isn't they should squash it make good and pay you. That's my opinion. Other wise it's like they were free rolling on you.

Well, I am sure they didn't look too hard when I called about it. I gave them the old email address that was tied to the account and they didn't show anything. Like I said, it probably has been a good 10-13 years. I do have a feeling I may be getting free rolled. Take my deposits up until I try and cash out and then tell me "sorry, your old account had a balance, we aren't paying you."

We will see what happens. I just don't understand how I could have a balance. Makes zero sense to me. I am not accusing them
of doing anything wrong, maybe I did have a balance... But it sure is a weird set of circumstances....

I agree they would have said a negative balance. Are they still not paying you though?

I don't know. Withdrawal was only requested late Friday early Saturday. From what I see on another forum, most BTC withdrawals are processed within 24 hours or so. They haven't said if they are paying me, but the withdrawal is still pending and the money is still in my account.

what i got from reading your post was that they told you you have a balance, meaning you still have money in the old account, I'm sure that if you owe them they would've already deduct it from your current balance

I had an account with them from 10 years or so ago too that has been inactive for a long time. I decided to reload after many years inactive and after not being able to log into my account with my password that I am sure I remembered, I got on live chat with them to reset. They said they couldn't find the account and gave me a the green light to open another. I thought that was a little shady so I decided I would just play elsewhere. No point giving a book a reason to screw you down the line.

Hope you get money soon.

I know most of you don't care, but I have been critical of them since joining, so figured I should update. They paid me every dime they owed me, and in a timely fashion. One 3k withdrawal and one 5k withdrawal, via bitcoin. The first transaction did take longer than expected, but the second withdrawal was exactly 5 days after the first and their rules state you can only have a withdrawal every 5 days. Did verify that I indeed had a balance, but they don't know why or how. They did not hassle me over it, and paid me with no problems.

Figured that I owed it to them to give them their credit. I am actually pleasantly surprised in the end...
