Lewis has 1,952 yards and needs 153 to tie Dickerson's league mark of 2,105 (1984). If he picks up 48 yards, Lewis will join O.J. Simpson (1973), Dickerson (1984), Barry Sanders (1997) and Terrell Davis (1998) as the only backs in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season.
Playing lewis any further into the game then halftime is a criminal coachig mistake.
These guys should not take chances with the playoffs next week and jamal is there workhorse and carries several nagging injuries. Personal achievements are great, and this is one of the real big ones, but no way should he risk injury to his starters past the half.
