I'm sure California would welcome teams from those states to fill their stadiums at bowl time, no?
yes, of course
one sad realization here is the amount of researchers, students, and professors from CA state schools that are now unable to attend conferences and seminars that help them gain knowledge and experience in their field. They were already shut off from a few big conferences in Memphis this year and now you can add Charlotte, Birmingham, Dallas, Houston, etc to the list. UAB, for example, has a great medical school and hosts a ton of events each year through their School of Medicine...held, of course, in Birmingham. I know Austin annually hosts a bunch of research events sponsored by UT.
certainly sports bans will make the headlines, especially in ncaa tourney season 2018, but they are doing a major disservice to themselves. As usual, a bizarre piece of liberal legislation to advance the few, harms the many.
