I always wondered where do you buy a big gooey octopus. And how do you "smuggle" it into a stadium. Then how do you throw it onto the ice. When you leave for home, how do you not smell like that octopus?

Only in Detroit are you considered a local hero for doing all that...

The banana toss in russia was amazing,,,even more amazing is that they have bananas in russia....
That is amazing; I can't find a tomato less than $4 anywhere in Atlanta, I can't imagine how much a banana cost in Moscow.

As far as stupid fan antics go...you guys should come to an FSU-Gator Basketball game the night before the FSU-Gator Football game.....Reminds me of Pacers-Pistons...EVERY YEAR!!!

Bananas down here in Costa Rica are almost free. They cost like 14 colonies a piece about 3 cents each,

btw fewer worse smells than a rotting banana tree..

& sorry for getting off-topic:

Will, i'm sure you've had jocotes(fruit) down there? You have got to eat the leaves of that tree-- just break off a branch and eat them-- they're delicious: lemony & sweet...

Remember the guy on MNF who actually jumped out of his seat and over the side of the stands for the football on a Extra point?

LMAO, not only did he jump but he caught the ball as he descended down some 12 ft, it was a classic MNF moment...I think it was in Dallas:digit:
J-man, that was classic. Soldier field, guy jumps out of the stands and catches the ball on the way down from his fall. MNF interviews him after the game, and he says "I'm Joe Johnson, and I played high school football at Central High School. I was all conference my jr and sr years, and I've got great hands." Classic. My buddies and I were all in college at different schools and calling each other at all hours of the night to share a laugh together.

Not that this fan did it on purpose but one of the most memorial things that ever happened in the stands of Memorial Stadium, a guy landed his plane in the upper deck after a Colts Steelers playoff game in 1976;

On December 19, 1976, approximately five minutes after the finish of the AFC semi-final game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Colts, a single engine plane crashed into the upper deck almost directly behind home plate. Miraculously, no spectators were injured and the pilot suffered minor injuries.

I couldn't find a photo...amazing no one was hurt...perhaps because the Steelers won the game rather easily the place cleared out fast, or this would have been a disaster never forgotten.

Here you go JM:

December 19, 1976 The Colts lose to Pittsburgh 40-14 in a playoff game at Memorial Stadium before a crowd of 60,020. Immediately after the game a small plane piloted by Donald Kroner crashed in the upper deck of Memorial Stadium (between sections 1 & 2). Luckily, a vast majority of the fans had already left the stadium.

Thanks Bookie! that is just amazing, and so close to not even making it into the park when you look at how close he landed into the top of the upperdeck...if you look real closely you can see the plane was carrying a banner behind it....great photo!

I sat in those seats up there countless times...Even behind those actualt seats was benches lol...how pre-historic was that , benches in the upper upper deck at memorial Stadium!

I sat in that exact spot the night Tippy Martinez picked off all 3 Toronto Blue Jays at first base, in one of the more memorable moments....

That was at Soldier Field, Chicago vs Green Bay, September 1994! Remeber it well...Bears made a valiant comeback effort only to fall short, Favre to Brooks for 99 yards in that one...

It was 1995. And are you sure they were playing the Packers? I know exactly where I was living at the time, so it sticks out in my mind. I was thinking the Cowboys, but I could be wrong. The rain-soaked Halloween game was against the Pack in 1994.
