it was nothing compared to bashing sutcliffe gave on espn inetrnational.........he crippled the umpsAs Buck and McCarver have pointed out, the umpiring in this Series has been abysmal. (More evidence that they are the best announcing team in any sport.)
Legitimate criticism from announcers should be the least of these guy's worries. If there's any justice at all, they'll all be looking for new jobs come spring.
Kinda hard to replace when they are tenured. As Buck and McCarver have pointed out, the umpiring in this Series has been abysmal. (More evidence that they are the best announcing team in any sport.)

Umpires don't give a shit what fans think. As a general rule, fans know nothing about baseball, especially the rules. Tonight is just another game for them.
That being said, the plate umpire was obviously inconsistent on Monday. Go Rays.
No, I went to professional umpiring school, and barely missed the cut. Would have made it into pro ball if I had come back a 2nd time, but decided to just do college ball. Professional baseball pays almost nothing until you make the majors, and it's tougher to make it in the MLB as an umpire than it is as a player. Just not many jobs, and all of those guys are tenured. I really was nowhere close to umpiring this game, I was just making a joke. But I know that myself and several of my friends that worked college and minor leagues.....we could do just as good of a job as any MLB umpire. What lost you the nod? The fact that you often wager on baseball?
