Gambling-wise it has to be FINALLY winning the Thanksgiving poker game. This year was the 10th annual -- dealer call $100 buy-in with all the males from my fam as well as some close family friends.
But of course, it wasn't about the money. Pride baby.

I think I found my future wife. She's is hot, comes from a ton of money, and I get along great with her. Her, and her brother have no interest in taking over the 4 high end, DC area, restaurants their father owns. If this accounting thing doesn't work out it is nice to know that could be a possibility.
Gambling wise, I took a break after a bad 06/07 football season. I came back in September and stressed money management. So far so good. I am up close to 3k with roughly 31k in total handle. My average bet is around $85.
Been a great year all around.

Personally:
I pulled a Judge Wapner by getting laid off and then finding a job within a couple weeks that pays almost twice as much as my previous job with a better work environment.
Gamblingwise:
Reading a post by Iceman regarding teasers crossing 3 and 7 and remembering reading Stanford Wong's book "Sharp Sports Betting" where he mentions the same thing. Now I use a more mathematically oriented approach to gambling which is what I originally intended to do back in 2003 when I started sports gambling.
I find myself betting fewer and fewer bets outside of mathematical systems. It just seems that my own personal bets are much less likely to win than betting this way so it takes most of the fun out of it.
