I think Detroit will suprise some people this year. Shocking to say but Kitna may be the best q.b in the division. They definitely have the best receivers.

most shocking is that everyone at the rx didn't take the titans plus 7.5.
why was everyone on the jags? qb shit had to be a distraction. i don't think they could have covered that # with out all the other bull shit. young was awesome the last month and a half last year. to me that was the easiest bet of the day. wish i would have played it for more than one unit.

*Romo throwing 4 tds and 345 yds on 15 completions ...
*Chris Brown and the Titan Defense who kept Vince in the game to do his thing ... Winning
*Randall "Mcmurphy" Moss back to his old self 9-183-1 .. Patriots look like team to beat in AFC again.
L.T getting shut down for a Half ... then playing like an MVP in the 2nd half
*GB and Wash winning on last sec field goals to pump some life into 2 teams that really needed to win in week 1.
*This is Inspector "Peterson" from the Minnesota Running back core .... Rook rushes for a buck and catches a 60 yd TD Reception .. Nice game kiddo!!
*Alex Smith evoking memories of Steve Young with 25 yard run on game winning drive
*Chad Johnson acting like a poumpous prick , and Baltimore calling play action on 3rd and 1 ... where Mcnair throws a floater
*Kitna and Martz unveiling their offensive attack enroute to 36 points
*Panther D shutting down the Rams O
* The "Ain'ts"
*Chicago held to a FG and Grossman looking plain "Gross"
*Houstons big home Opener and new QB

RP - Suprised by Romo? Get used to it...:drink:

Colts defense in a landslide for me. They made Brees and company look like the fuckin chiefs offense. I guess losing some parts from last years d wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

What impressed me was Romo averaging 23 yds a completion ... basically he was money all day long throwing for first downs and touchdowns.

so you would take kitna over favre, even at this late stage in Favre's career? I know Detroit has more weapons than Green Bay, but that is still impressive

FUN FACT

Since winning the Super Bowl for the 2002 season, the TB Bucs have averaged 14.2 pts a game on offense (66 games)

A lot of people were expecting the Titans to lose and just like last year they showed up and held their own , on the road.

Cle- no surprise
Det- no surprise they can score and will be scored on
Dal- looked about the same
NYG- same
NE and SD- looked like the best two teams that was expected
STL- played awful
ARI - played their ghears out and lost late, no surprise
Balt -McNair injured groin, Ravens D looked great and off struggled, same.
KC - as many predicted looked like an expansion team from the early 70's
Mia and Was- struggled to score.
ATL-looked like team who lost their franchise player and let his backup go.
Chi- looked like team with QB who will cough it up

Maybe the biggest surprise of week 1 was the Saints(awful) and Colts(played great on both sides)

not only the titans winning, but running roughshod over the jags d for 282 yards, including chris brown surpassing his total from last year in one game.

Andy Reid making decisions to join the lower tier coaching ranks.
He cuts his punt returner, Bloom and goes with two punt returners who had never returned punts in a regular season NFL game before.
Nice return on the decision. The two punt returners, Reed and Lewis both coughed up costly fumbles giving the game away to the Pack.
Alas! Andy slowly regaining his sanity, as today, the Eagles resigned their last season returner, Reno Mahe, who had been out of the NFL since the Eagles had previously declined to resign him after last season.

How about going from NFL starting QB in week 1, to being traded the next day to be the 3rd string QB.

You think Charlie Frye's head is still spinning?

I would. Favre skills have waned. The difference in receiver corps. doesn't hurt though.:lolBIG:

Charlie just rejoined the ranks of those holding one of the most highly cherished jobs in Pro Sports. No contact, sideline viewing area for all games, model visor or full cap, full contract. Only drawback, may be weight bearing(may have to hold clipboard and pencil, but perhaps that is reserved for #2, not #3) Charlie should be licking his lips, probably salivating at this very moment.
