i'd say this years all star game had to be the best one ive ever attended the atmosphere alone was enough for me to say that but what clinched my answer to this question the dramatic ending of the game put it over the top.

Game 6 1986 world series. Without a doubt the best game I have ever seen live in any sport.....PERIOD

My first one.
1961 at the old Met saw the Twins and the Yanks.
Mantle hit #48 that day along with a double and a single, also stole a base. I was a young boy and a big Yankee fan. But, when Roger Maris stuck out to end the game he was still arguing a called third strike 30 minutes after the game.
The Twins won the game 5-4. I became a Twins fan that day, and have been ever since.
A few years ago, at a book signing, I told Mickey this story, and he laughed.
