I requested a withdraw on Nov 14 from Bookmaker I then deposited the check in my bank account on Nov 25 and I receive a call today from my bank saying the account they wrote the check on is a closed account and now the bank is taking back there money out of my account.

Well after Bookmaker gives me a number to call some guy answers and says there aware of the problem and they said "someone was writing phony checks on that account and they had to close the account and a new check would be coming to me by hopefully the middle of next week". This does me alot of good since I dont have the money in my account to pay back the bank. Just what I was wanting for Christmas:smoking:

I'd ask for a WU or Moneygram

They should go out of their way here for you.

Seems like they should have contacted you to let you that a problem was coming instead of waiting for you to find out the bad news and then call them.

One would think so but with this book I doubt it - I'm quite certain this book is silently owned by Israelis - while you money is safe and they don't pull any bullshit - they charge you for every nickel and penny.

That is what i thought and now all I'm getting is a run around by having to call this person then another person and nobody knows anything about whats going on. I call Bookmaker again and they tell me the account dept. is busy and they dont when there will be someone available to talk to me.

Something doesnt sound right with this. 2 weeks is a very long time to have the money cleared and sitting in your bank account before the bank actually called you and said 'oh by the way the account your check was drawn on is closed so we are taking your money back'.

So what if the account is closed now? It had to have been open when Tribe deposited the check and it stayed cleared for 2 weeks. I'm not saying you aren't telling the truth Tribe I'm just questioning your bank. Very weird.

They are facing quite a few withdrawals, and they are stalling. As a business analyst, that is my educated and experienced opinion. Anything you get from them should be considered a blessing at this point.

I hope you straighten out your account quickly.

The check if I remember correct was written on a Canadian account and the lady from the bank said they sent it back the first time as an NSF check and the 2nd time they sent it through it came back and said the account was closed. It seems like a long time to me also but being on a Canadian account it might not be that long I don't know. I just know the whole deal is fucked up and when I tried to call them about making it a Wu or Mg they said that would take longer then having them rewrite the check. They did say the next check would be on a U.S. account though.

This is great. Fucking unbelievable. I hope they have this resolved. I asked a customer service rep about these type of incidence and he said there was no problems with checks, just direct deposits. I requested a withdrawal via courier on Monday. If this check bounces on me I will be done with them for good.

The fact that you have to call some third party is a disgrace. WTF? The withdrawal was from Bookmaker and they should do whatever they have to to resolve this issue. That's like going to Mcdonald's and getting a bad burger and them telling you to call the farmer in Iowa with the cows.

BULLSHIT

How Bookmaker is maintaining their A rating to me is a mystery.

So did you get the check back the first time as NSF and then you tried to re-deposit it or did the bank actually send it through a second time themselves?

2Plays - actually dealing with the processor about a payout issue is better than dealing with the book. Because when you call the book all they do is call the processor when they get around to it. At least when you have the processor's number you can call them immediately and find out first hand what is going on istead of hearing it second hand from a CS rep of the book.

Exactly what I thought but its hard to argue the a foreigner who you can barely understand and then they tell you to call back and act annoyed because you keep calling them. Their making this seem like its my fault for there check bouncing and they won't go out of there way to make it right and the number that they gave me to call that guy sounded like he could give a fuck. The way I feel is Bookmaker should be sending me my money asap and then they can deal with getting there money back at there convenience.

I get your point but....from a A+ book this is unacceptable to me. They are point of contact taking the money so they should be the only thing a customer should encounter. Just doesn't seem like a good way to handle things from a consumer stand point.
