Hockey might be one of the most important because home teams get to decide the match ups on every face off, and get to pick who goes first in the shoot out.

Baseball least important, because of pitching being so dominate.

Football most if you have a good home crowd. The ability to audible and communicate on offense while the other team can't is a huge advantage.

Basketball the least. Seriously...what the fuck good can I do as a fan here?

If you are a gambler it's CBB -- the home away differences are most staggering.

Bingo.

The difference in spreads in college basketball are crazy when it comes to home vs away.

Indiana could beat the number 1 team in the country on any given year at home but would lose by 20+ points on the road to that same team

It could be baseball given that baseball is the only one where the actual playing field is different for each team, and that there is a major advantage in having last at bat.

However it's clearly college basketball especially if we are considering impact to spread.
