Last night: Bases loaded, Blue Jays batting against the A's. Ball hit to 1st base, who tags the runner right in front of him, then goes home. The Runner was called safe on the field, making the out at home a force. Catcher stands on plate.

Blue Jays review that their runner from 1st to 2nd was OUT, therefore the out at home was not a force out and needed to be tagged. Because he wasn't, he was safe. Run Scored.

Nothing you can do, just a fluke play. To avoid it I guess the catcher could tag him if he has any doubts.

I watched the play. The first baseman knew he tagged him so he should be screaming at the catcher to tag the runner. If the catcher doesn't, it's just part of the game.
