I don't really hate any Teams anymore, but when I did, as a Ranger fan, I hated the Islanders but absolutely admired and respected the hell out of Denis Potvin, unlike every other Ranger fan that to this day, 25 years after his career has ended, still chant Potvin Sucks at Ranger games.
As a Chief fan, I never particularly liked Brandon Flowers, even when he didn't suck, like he did last year. Glad he's gone and I can root against him with SD.

JJ Redick, I hate Dook (like most of the world does, and I'm racist towards white basketball players 
) but I've come to respect JJ as an NBA player. He's worked hard to change his game and his body, and we don't have Dook Vitale hyping him up 24/7/365 anymore.

A player i love on a team i hate would be Drew Brees. Joe Tiller was always my favorite college coach at Wyoiming and Purdue and i was a big fan of Brees while he was in college. ...kind of anti Saints though.
A player i dislike on a team i love is Bama wr and return specialist Christon Jones. ...I think Jones actually has a pretty good head on his shoulders so i dont want to compare him to the FSU qb , but Jones is def one of those "jive turkey" kind of guys and can trash talk ghetto style with the best of them. ...I'm surprised Saban allows some of the stuff he does. ... but he a playa.
