Will play most of there bankroll on all these -380 to -400 favs today?? Are people that dumb to risk 90% or so of there bankroll (just to win a small amt) on what looks like a sure thing regarding pitching matchups/stats only to have a fluke thing happen and BAM they are out 90% of there roll???

thanks

3 or 4 years ago I think it was I laid -750 on the LA Sparks to beat Sacramento and I lost. I think that was the last time I even thought about it.

I say less than 1%.Most players if they are betting on these games will either use them in a parlay or lay the -1.5 run line.
I once was told that a squares favorite baseball bet is to parlay big moneyline favorites.
Today is a good day to pass.

I choose one game like that out of the whole weekend and I lost only twice. Out of at least a couple hundred times.

The risk is what gets people. Last week I laid $360 to win $100 on ranked Utah to win and that was a blow out like expected.

Usually you can beat the system by choosing ONE game per Saturday with a high moneyline and win. But people get to out of control when they start parlaying every single team that has a high moneyline.

the friday of the vegas party, panther and i were standing in front of the sports book counter at the GN. the astros were struggling at the time and clemens was pitching that day against the astros. clemens opened -220 and was down to about -200 at the time.

i told panther there was NO WAY i could lay -200 with a team playing as bad as the astros no matter who they were playing.

some guy heard this and proceeded to tell panther and i how if we felt the astros were the right side to bet it no matter what the price. he made up some crap about how the books shoulda made him a bigger fave. he said some other laughable stuff and really made an a*s out of himself.

especially when the expos won!

Firstly..

It is a proven fact that during this baseball season if you bet all the dogs everyday for 100..You are getting destroyed...

Many players like the run lines because if you bet the favorite you lay less juice..I cannot tell you how those people are doing..

The oddsmakers by their lines lately are begging the public to bet the dogs because of the extreme value there..

The books in baseball are getting hurt consistently with the favorites winning lately..Look at these lines today..The Tigers are even 2-1..There are 8 games with lines better than 200..The player is picking a favorite and then getting free pass to the promised land..

Football is here..Now it gets interesting..

DEAR DANTE,

i am sick and tired of you so-called experts bashing gamblers who lay big chalk...

sometimes i think you guys are jealous of the easy money that they are sure to make.......

just leave them alone and let them lay -400 chalks

i would strongly advise betting some parlays today....

the baseball season is rapidly ending, so now is the time to fire away.....imo...you should at least double or triple your normal amount of wagers......bet more games than normal too...gl

yours truly,

There can be value found at any number. Lots of these lines are getting out of whack because a team playing for something ( a playoff berth) is playing against a team playing out the string.

Remember though, even the worst baseball teams usually win a third of their games.

Pick your spots either way if you feel you are getting the best of it. It is much easier to recover from a +340 loss than a -400 loss, however.
