I'd say Miami is more potent on offense (maybe), but there's no program in the country that could field a defense as deep and talented as FSU.

For whatever reason, I remember the Miami names more, but the FSU defense was just stupid with talent.

yep.

obviously fsu has had great offensive talent, but the reason they were in the top 5 for 14 straight years was the defense. mickey andrews got his pick of athletes for the defensive side of the ball and it showed.

Great "D" For Both

But several tms had better "O" IMO. Examples Pitt: QB Marino. RB Dorsett & Heyward, TE Ditka, WR Fitzgerald & Bryant, OL Fralic, May, Covert, Stepnoski, Dixon! Also USC: Palmer, OJ & Marcus, Keyshon, M Williams, & Swann, Yary, Munoz, Budde, Foster, Mathews. Of course these are all subjective, we all have favs. One of mine was the 83 Cornhuskers w/Rozier & Fryar. Also that great Penn St tm in 94, w/Collins, Carter,Engram! You have to think that one of the all time 3 yr stretches against a great team was Miami in 85, 86, & 87. When they beat an Oklahoma team that was 33 & 3, ALL 3 losses were to Miami! Astounding. Of course OU did have Bosworth so that may have had something to do w/it. Like doing this as it passes the time to KO, just a tad over 60 days to go!!!@):)

PS, BSU is so good we only need the 2 offensive linemen.
