LOL...You overestimate the virtue of the Democratic Party. Lately, they've managed to find the time to make an attempt to resurrect the Fairness Doctrine. They could pass more anti-gambling legislation. Many democrats voted to pass the anti-gambling legislation last October. It passed overwhelmingly in the House of Reps.

I expect more anti-gaming legislation; this time targeting the player. I hope I'm not right.

Any chance you get to bas the Dems you take it. It isnt about that.

I know it isn't. But this isn't something Republicans did completely on their own, with zero Dem support as some are trying to make it seem. That's one of the points I was making. The other point is that I really do have a feeling they're going to go after the players at some point. I'd love to be wrong.

BTW...My favorite Randy Quaide movie was The Last Detail. What an awesome film and Quaide was great in it. Nicholson was unforgettable as well.

You must admit, when it comes to general human fairness and compassion, that generally those who are Democrat have more of it...and show more of it. If there is one thing tht is true...then that is it.

Most of the "Pull yourself up from the bootstraps" crowd gets college paid for, housing down-payments paid for, numerous legal bailouts in their formative years, and generally a lot more second chances in life.

Check out Howard Buffett...Warren's Dad. He was one of the most extreme Republicans ever. Warren knows the deal, and is generally Liberal because he undertands cause and effect a lot more than most....and he even respected his Dad.

Since the arrests:

Neteller has lost its EFT processors

No bank will write checks for them in USD.

They can not send USD EFTs elsewhere since all USD transactions clear in the US.

Their ATM processor turned off their card and Betjm card.

I know of at least 5 people who have been questioned when depositing checks.

I know at least one person who had a wire rejected by a US bank and returned to the sender.

What happens as far US banking system is concerned when a foreign bank sends a bank wire in USD to another foreign bank? Doesnt the wire info still go through Federal Resever?

Yes it does...

This is why Neteller can not pay any accounts in USD.

If you think the US dollar is weak now, see what it is doing in 5 years... The rest of the world is sick of our shit... Banks start blocking random wires (As they are) and business will all be done in Euros.

Then I dont understand something especially now that this law was passed and the US gamblers are banned from some books,... and all the problems with processors...

Why dont more books let players open their accounts in EURO? Olympic, Cris, Pinnacle do and some other. same with neteller. So they give the player the option to open their accounts in Euro or USD

cascade, 5 dimes, casablanca,... and some of the other books are behind and dont do it

Now what is wrong if a book has two accounts with neteller? one in USD and another in EURO this way they dont have to pay the conversion fee.
Players who use the Euro currency will send their funds to their Euro account and players who use USD send their funds to the books USD account. Its good because then the player and the book dont have to pay a conversion fee to neteller

You're talking about entitlements. General human "fairness" and compassion mean entitlements to you. Entitlements sounds like a cool idea when you're broke and in college floating checks to Domino's Pizza, but when you get out into the real world and start a career and raise a family, you'll change your mind. It's not so great being one of those who pays for the entitlements. Your compassionate Dems want to bring back draconian tax rates. It sounds like you might be happier in Europe. Go over there, get your entitlements, and every-so-often riot with the Muslims over how badly you have it.

I don't want to braodcast this by hollering from the rooftops but for smaller players the Visa Gift Cards you can buy at places like Walgreens and a bunch of other outlets (see website) work well for depositing with some sportsbooks (BetJamaica for sure)..

Are these cards strictly for deposits?
Or, are withdrawals returned via these cards at least up to the amount deposied?
Never used gift card; for that matter never used any credit card.
Educate me.

I've yet to find one book not happy to set you up in Euros or Cnd Dollars. I suppose some of the real small ones only do USD and Pinnacle needs a non US address

Well, i'm still not clear on this, only been in a couple of months, back when easy to fund. So now have to fund with gift cards? And if you ask for a check and receive one, the bank may not take them?

huh:ughhh:

many books offer nothing but USD, the other thing, many books offer other account types like CDN or Euro, however, it is not 'true' canadian processing, they simply convert it on their website, but everything is still processed in USD in the background.

for example, when you deposit via canadian credit card, to canadian account sportsbook, the charge still shows up on your CC as a USD charge.
