They just showed an ad that I'm sure only Directv subscribers can see. With Peyton Manning saying that "I'm already half way there by having Directv, and now all I need is sunday ticket."

It says to sign up by July 31st to recieve their best offer, but unlike years past they didnt advertise the price. Just says to call.

Curious on what to expect if anyone knows

I know this sounds crazy but with the economy the way it is maybe the price went down on the NFL Sunday Ticket but i doubt it..My guess is between $175-200 for the season but I go over a friends house or to a bar to watch the games so I dont purchase it.

early bird offer is 5 payments of 55.99 for a total of 279.95. A savings of a whopping $20!
Superfan is an extra $100

Wow. 280 is insanity! At least when one of the teams are in the red zone you can listen for free

I look at it like this....i'm going to watch all 16 vikings game somewhere. It's only 17.50 per game. If i go to a bar, i'm certainly spending way, way more than that so it's not as bad as you think...and i get every other game as well.

If you had the ticket last year and it is set up for auto renewal on your bill. Call them up and tell them you would like to cancel. They will then offer you deals to keep the ticket. The best deal they are offering is $20 off your bill for 6 months and Superfan for free.

I was only able to get Superfan for free because I already getting a discount off my bill when I moved to a new address.

Called in to cancel since I have season tickets, so I was only using it half the time anyhow. They dropped the price to $165 (from the $300 I think I was paying before?), so I took it. Still might end up reconsidering though.

For $165 and only using it for half the season, you could use that going to a sports bar, getting to see the games you want PLUS getting beer/food, etc.

I guess I should stop complaining...

Up here in Canada, I pay $30/month and get Sunday Ticket, Extra Innings, Centre Ice, League Pass, the NASCAR package and a hybrid college package which shows pretty much every game on the ESPN/ABC family of networks....

Nice job. You have gotten better reps/supervisors than I have. I have had the ticket for 7 years, called last year to try to squeeze a free upgrade of superfan and was told no (after 20+ minutes on phone.) Last month I called and canceled the ticket just to see if they would counter, they said no problem we will take care of this request for you, offered nothing to keep me on board. Nice to hear that some of you have had better luck.

Bingo!

I just tried this and it worked for me.

Called and said I wanted to cancel and not renew. She transfered me to Walter. He asked me why I wanted to cancel. I told him I have Cards season tix and I would miss half the games anyway (which is true). So he gave it to me for half price. 6 payments of $24.99 for a total of $149.94.

Not a bad deal.

Thanks for the idea!

Update: Called to cancel, told the guy I had season tickets, he talked to me for awhile about football, just bs type stuff and then he says he can offer me free superfan package, I tell him its still too much. So then he offers 10 off a month and I so I say, how about half price and he agrees!

So, 149.99 and free Superfan, not bad!
