Kerry's 1972 testimony:

Here is the full quote from his testimony.

“I would like to talk on behalf of all those veterans and say that several months ago in Detroit we had an investigation at which over 150 honorably discharged, and many very highly decorated, veterans testified to war crimes committed in Southeast Asia. These were not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command. It is impossible to describe to you exactly what did happen in Detroit - the emotions in the room and the feelings of the men who were reliving their experiences in Vietnam. They relived the absolute horror of what this country, in a sense, made them do.”

“They told stories that at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.”

Many of these things have been proven true, and note this because it's VERY IMPORTANT! John Kerry didn't say he PERSONALLY SAW ANY OF IT HAPPEN!

What's Sean Hannity have to say?

"They ... raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power," he told a Senate committee in 1971 when he was just home from the war, and "cut off limbs, [blew] up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam."

Notice a few things missing?

Sean's blatant revision of what John Kerry said changes everything about the statement, he never said he personally witnessed any of it... his testimony proves it!

Are you saying he lied about what he was told by others in Detroit?

D2,

What a scam, a loophole. Kerry knew as he conspired with the communist that he'd lie and say that's what he was told. D2 I know you know this man is a traitor, you are not a complete fool.

Amazing that Kerry was lauded and praised by the Senators that he gave testimony from.

Not amazing that Repubs distort the testimony he provided. For instant the swift Boat ads say that he says "All Viet Nam vets comitted atrocities" when he said that he heard testimony that atrocities had been comitted. Big difference, big disortion.

Anyone that distorts the truth like that oughta be banned from public discourse for being a traitor to the ideals and principles of our country.

Hey jerkoff - first off, The testimony was given in early 1971 - not in 1972. In that testimony Kerry continually used the inclusive "we" while speaking of the alleged attrocities 'We did these things!".

In his testimony he accused all Vietnam Vets of these attrociies, while accusing 60 to 80 percent of all veterans of become drug addicted during their tours.

This guy was one of the prime painters of the picture of Vietnam vets as drug addicted social misfits and borderline schizo's. Not proud soldiers and heroes, but evil baby killers.

His "Winter Hill Investigation" was performed by a group with an agenda who picked and chose the people who would tell them what they wanted toi hear. It was fixed! Many of the vets who were "interviewed" later recanted the testimony, saying that they were "lead" into giving misleading statements.

Most soldiers didn't want to go to Vietnam. Most of those soldiers came from depressed backgrounds and many were poorly educated, having barely got by in school, or just quit school to get a job - all were waiting to get drafted.
Most of these soldiers were good people and patriotic Americans who were ill used by their country, and then ill used by the anti-war crowd.
Nowadays, the Vietnam Vet is more likely to be thought of as the derelict, unwashed bum, accosting people for change on some urban street corner, rather than the strong family man and productive American that he really is.

The Vietanm, Vet had to hide his service because of the ugly image painted by such traitors as John Kerry. Many Vietnam Vets, myself included, would have supported People like John Kerry - but he placed much oof the blame squarely on the backs of the Vets, rather than on the Democrats who started the war, and the Republicans who continued it!

His tactics were evil, blaming that segment of American Society, the returning, and usually unemployed Vietnam Vet, who were least able to protect themselves.

Kerry was no hero, but a traitor!
