ok. i will not mention the name of the sportsbook. only to interested moderators.

lets start.
i signed up with the book two days ago and it is a major one.
i did that because my buddy recommended it and i lost a private bet to him so i was able to send the money via neteller to his account ( using the internal account to account transfer at the book). They are mentioning it at their website that this is possible.
so i had a sportsbook to sportsbook transfer from one sportsbook to this sportsbook of more than 5500 dollars without any problems. prior to asking the major book if a account to account transfer is possible after getting the money from the other sportsbook and they replied:
Transfer are accepted when the transfer is from and to the same customer account at both books

ok transfer from to with no problem and then i asked them to transfer the money to my buddy. their reply was:

i am sorry you will need to wager the money that was transfer to you at least once before you can do a transfer to another a/c.

so i thought i had to wager it before making the transfer and blew it all.

today i found out the following which had never been mentioned by the guy sending me the email:
If entire deposit amount(s) are not placed on wagers at least once, any transfer charges associated with the deposit amount(s) will be deducted from the account prior to the withdrawal. [minimum five percent (5%)]

i am really pissed now that he did not mention that. i mean in that case i would have accepted the 5 percent. it is a bad joke that this was not mentioned. i mean what sense does it make that i have to wager the money prior to sending it to another account (what i mentioned). How does the offshore industry work when they only tell you half of the story and not all possibilities. i mean it is not acceptable for me what they did and that they did not mention the 5 percent possibility.
what is your take on the story. was it ok what they did?
if any moderator is interested i still have the whole coversation.
btw i asked for a sign up bonus which is offered on their website. the reply was:
I am not able to give you the bonus until my supervisior gets in at 8am Central. Thanking you in advance for your understanding.
After a couple of email from my site they still did not answer. Then i asked why this all has happened and the guy never told me about the five percent possibility and that i do not accept what was going on - even after a lot of emails from my site - no response. i told them that i did not know about the possibility, sent them the whole conversation and that from my site all wagers i made by mistake (coming from not knowing and not being told about the possibility of 5 percent) are invalid and kindly asked them to transfer my deposit minus 5 percent to my buddy as i wanted it all the time - no respone.
I do not want you to tell me any bullshit about whining that i blew it - i want to get your take and what i can do.
once again i will not post the name of the book (only to moderators) but it was a major one.
Amazing to me is the point that they even do not respond for example something like your fault, we are not interested or whatever.

WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU WAGER THE WHOLE AMOUNT JUST TO GET THE MONEY TRANSFERRED???

That is a ridiculous rule and an even more ridiculous decision on your part.......

i do not care that much about the money. i care about the way that they did not tell me the possibility. i had the money on three chalks and thought that two would hit so that it is +-0

yes, i still would post it. it is first of all about the rule and secondly about the way how they treat customers. we all are paying to these books and what do we get back? money sometimes. but what else: stupid rules, less cs, not the real facts etc.
i mean what sense does it make that i have to wager first when i only wanted to deposit and transfer to my buddy for paying of my dues. in case of mentioning the 5 percent i would have accepted it.

the reason it that it was my account and he should have done with the money whatever he wanted. if he wanted to play and then withdraw parts he could not have done it from mine - only from his. that was the reason why i wanted this transfer.
however i really question their cs for not responding to my mails.

I have no doubt if you explained this to any book up front you wanted to wire 5k into an account for your friend they would have done this , no problem...

Uncle B:

I guess this is the situation that you're looking into.

If this is the whole story, the guy does not deserve anything as far as a refund of his wagers.

It's his responsibility to read the rules. Another thing - he claims his only intent was to transfer the money to his friend, yet he asks for a sign-up bonus ?

Sounds like a scam / shakedown attempt to me, or at best a sore loser ... unless there is more to the story than is presented in this thread.

Well, he is more upset that he feels he was mislead into thinking he 'had' to roll the money over to do the transfer.
I am thinking it was more a case of the book explaining the bonus requirement, and him taking it as the transfer requirement...Could be wrong though.

Still waiting to hear from the top guy, then, it's up to the poster whether or not to post anything further here.

Bayer1,

Understand, sportsbooks are not paypal. There not here to help you transfer money to your friends. When you do a book to book trasnfer, that costs them money. And they will only pick up that fee if you give them action. Even neteller will charge a 2% fee when one player wants to send anohter player money. And thats pure profit for neteller.

I think you should take this as a learning experience and move on.

My question is "Would we be having this conversation had the wager hit?"

Most certainly NOT.

Perhaps if you had asked advice prior to "blowing it all" we would have advised you to "hedge" it out .. or at least play tons of small wagers, thus minimizing your risk.

As others said, you've learned an expenisive less.

Sorry about your losses, but I wish you the best of luck in the future.

being a major book they would have paid you if you had won. so instead of further pursuing the transfer you played with the money. you lost and now exactly what do you want them to do. i'm curious of the method behind the maddness. what do you see as a fair outcome to this

Ok. As some of you are interested in the story I want to make you aware of the fact that Ken and UB received all the conversation I had with the book. Once again all conversation regarding the matter. I clearly stated in my email that I want to deposit and then transfer it to my buddy. Their reply was that it is not a problem when the money goes into my account. After the money was there I asked for the transfer to his account and now they came up with a one time rollover which they never told me before. So this was pretty clear to me. I played 3 chalks because I did not want to lose the money and hoped to hit 2 so that it would have been plus minus 0. I lost were you can blame me for. Ok. I further investigated and asked every sportsbook for their procedures. No one once again no one of them ever heard of such requirements. Despite that I never asked the sportsbook for any bonus prior to the point when I lost the wagers. So I was not looking for any bonus in the beginning. No I made further investigations and asked the same book under a different name if I could deposit and then transfer without having any rollover requirements first. Guess what they replied: It is not a problem. Once again I want to point out that UB and Ken have all the conversation with this book. I am neither a liar nor anything else. I can only tell you what and that is that this sounds like a bad story to me but it is the truth. For me it is clear that the guy who has sent me the email about the rollover was wrong. I would have never ever made any play nor deposited the money there. What you think about it is up to you but it is nice to see that after tons of emails they did not respond to any and I guess most of you are playing at this book. I would never ever blame them for doing it on purpose maybe the guy was inexperienced but from a major book I expect to come with something forward.
@ballsoft i played with the money because i was told i had to.
@lander i am playing long enough offshore now but i have always been treated in the best way by any book but not from them.
My intent was not playing there. my intent was transfering the money to my buddy and that is what i clearly stated in any of my emails to them. prior to what happened and afterwards. i mean they even did not answer to any of my mails.

conversation by email>
i just wanted to ask if it is possible to make a sportsbook to sportsbook transfer and then transfer it to the account of my buddy. ... if possible please make it otherwise i have to withdraw by neteller.

Transfer are accepted when the transfer is from and to the same customer account at both books.

that is no problem - the money will go into my account

Yes, if the transfer is coming from your account/name

thanks for the transfer. as i have it in my account now i kindly ask you to transfer the xxxxxxx dollars to my buddy.

I am sorry, you will need to wager the money that was transfer to you at least once before you can do a transfer to another a/c.

Today when i asked them they never asked for any rollover

You guys can ask any sportsbook i am playing with if i ever complained when i lost and no when would say yes he did. but in this case i have been given wrong informations by the book i guess.
