Don't believe everything you read here. The payback in Oregon is nowhere near that low, I believe it is in the high 80s. Maybe a very poorly played game could yield a big return, but it is nearly impossible for a game to pay that low and the Oregon law doesn't allow it. Same for NY. There won't be any 71% paybacks there. The games will be 90/92/95% for the most part, obviously much of it the 90 or 92. And MGM is not supplying the machines, they are merely going to help build and then manage the facility for NYRA at Aqueduct, if those people can ever get their crap cleaned up. The slots will be provided by three major makers of slots: IGT, Bally and Spielo, who make a lot of video lottery games for Canada. The games are going to be close to the standard paybacks of Atlantic City casinos with some of the same game themes.
