This site is going down faster than stock in Kobe Bryant's future movie deals!!!

Not sure what the problem is, but others on another site feel that it is because you are getting rid of the best posters! Now I disagree with that notion, but you got rid of guys who needed to get the ax! But do the right thing SHRINK, dont let these guys back in!

You do it everytime and let losers back onto the site and they do the same shit again within a few months! When and if they do come back, they will always hold a grudge, so put the site at jeopardy and allow those guys back.

Heck this is one of the websites that I visit on the net! I dont want to see it go farther downhill! But hte quality of posts is WAYYYYYYYYY down. Maybe the posts are good in the RR room, but I only visit the offshore room.

The one problem that I see with the offshore forum as it is today is that it wont generate new posters in its current state! New posters and users are the KEY to advertising dollars and a successful long running forum.

Hell the SHRINK cant expect us to always be losers and log on to this site everyday forever!! He will need some new users someday!

I cant wait! Remember when all of this was much easier when you just had to call your local bookie and place wagers?? Internet is easier to bet, but boy I bet alot less often back then and NEVER chased a bet when you have to call the guy you owe money to!

The Rx seems fine to me. The mods always seem rehearsed straight from the Boredroom on how to handle difficult threads but thats ok.

They still move too many threads and are painfully suckish to the Shrink and Rx books. But thats the new Rx "we are a team" approach. I kind of prefer the "Tell me what your really think" approach. But the team thing outside of being a little boring seems to work.

I'm mixed about the excessive bannings. You want to run off loser/scammer types like Ham&eggs but you never want to lose a FatFrank.

Reminds me of when MW asks the forum if he should ban Samuari and 100% said NO. So he banned him anyway.

The Rx is still cool, a little flat at times but still cool.

For the team thing (i.e. not fighting amongst ourselves out here) I know you hate that Buzz, LOL. Some others do too they tell me. I have to admit I prefer it this way though. Nothing to gain by us bashing each other out here instead of picking up the phone or talking elsewhere. I was never one to play to the crowd as much as just being hardheaded in wanting to get my point across. If I can do that now without people getting ugly to me and vice versa it only makes sense to do so. I can see your point though as a reader, it is more boring this way than the old gun fights we used to have out here twice a day. Think it's more productive this way though.

Bannings - we probably mess a few up from time to time. Spive comes to mind and a couple of others. I think for the most part we get them right. We put a lot of thought into them before we ban someone. I like the way we are going in getting rid of some of the riff raff. It's taking a while but we are getting there.

Thanks Buzz, I never feel we are done and can't improve. It's sort of a work in progress around here for us, we surely don't think we have all the answers yet. I like our team a lot and it's nice we all get along so well together, we are surely headed in the direction! Appreciate the input Buzz.

players,

We will do everything to promote CREDIBILITY and discourage posters who have nothing better to do than instigate and lie...

If that means having to ban people to protect our posters and sports books from being targeted by troublemakers, then that's ok with me...

I agree that it may make for less "action," on this forum, but without CREDIBILITY, you have nothing in this biz...

I think you summed it up with WHO is saying something is wrong....LOL, the posters that are saying something is wrong are agenda driven for the most part...

Whats wrong ? the site keeps growing and the ones that have left READ EVERY THREAD JUST LIKE THEY USE TO ...obviously, as they like to report back every word they read here....

So whether one decides to stop posting or go out in a blaze of glory just to grab attention breifly (lol), but still reads the site, than talks about it every chance they get...that to me seems to give the site even more attention....

I see the Rx having some tremendous contests, with unmatched prize money, the sponsors aren`t giving away free Chuck E. Cheese tokens like they do at other sites...

The Rx is bigger than ever, the 'sky' is not falling should be the message sent back to "Chicken Little"

lol. This site is great. Just because some RR regulars got booted and left means jack squat to 90% of the people whom come in here. The truth is this place is better off without the lieing, cheating and insticating. Regardless, this site is still the #1 place to go for sports gambling info. People like winkyduck, action, shrink, dr.death, mc, jwunderdog, silver7 and many others are great sources of info and plays.

The truth is ASK 90% of the peopple in here whom left and they'll answer, "I don't know or care!" Lets stop feeding these guys little ego's and stop acting as if the rx needed them or any other one poster in the first place.

(They reminds me of a bunch of WOMEN talking behind each other backs at a tupper ware party.)

My feeling is that we can not please everyone, I know 100% for a fact that banning someone is only done as a complete last resort. We all hate to see it get to that point before it gets there posters are usually emailed (sometimes many times) or asked to call Ken to talk about what is going on but, it is NEVER a one person decision on that.
We try to do our best here and will always continue to try. At one time I had thought that all the forums could some how at least "co exist" without the hate, sadly that is not the case I only wish it were.

Thank you for the nice comments. Firmly believe that the RX is the #1 spot for the offshore gambler......recreational and professional.

This is a non-issue.

A group of 24/7 computer junkies had to leave the RX or were booted. Big deal! Hopefully they found a place were they're all happy and gay everyday of the year for the rest of there lives. The truth is, only a few really gave solid advice and plays in the first place.

"Get a life boys and move on" is all I can say to those that no-longer want or can be here.

.

Some of the people banned here have really polluted other forums. Just remember Shrink & mods...Peep and Pat were close to being banned. the banning of Frank, Banned4life and Spive were wrong. They were not trouble makers anymore than Peep and Pat.

If it is a non issue then why are you replying to it exactly?

because it is silly and I wanted to put in my two cents. Is this not ok?

Besides for a couple of guys that left on there own who cares? NON-ISSUE those are my thoughts on the matter. It is embarrassing to see grown men cry and act like children, that is what these men/boys are doing!

1st step in creating a better forum is ridding the trash. A long time coming here. The trash is not wanted at the Rx.

Not surprising but the only poster whom has left who acted LIKE A MAN is DickyW. The guy simply left stopped posting and went his way. NO DRAMA, NO CRYING! DickyW is a damned good guy I think!

There are two problems to me.

1) Everything has a become a soap opera on here. People are trying to act big in saying they have syndicate plays, or posters are getting stiffed by other posters, etc... I know way more about some of the people on here then I ever thought I would know, all because less and less people are talking and sharing information about the games. That's why most of us are here, to discuss matchups.

2) Too many touts, or wannabe touts. It seems that many don't even bet, and they would much rather see themselves with a winning record in their threads. People like the Recordkeeper have perpetuated this type of thing. Nothing against him, because I understand that without it, people would pad their records. I just don't really understand his motivation.

I've been here for 3 years, and these forums have helped me do better than I would have done on my own. But at some point, it's usefulness to me has started to decrease due to the constant bickering and posturing.

Just my 2 cents.

great post and very true. this should be more about discussing plays then discussing records. I saw on Sunday a guy post his plays after the games started? lmao. Why would you do this he was asked. He stated, "So my friends can see how I did." The plays were posted by ATX. ???? thanks for sharing with your friends after the shops all closed bud. It makes you wonder about some peoples motives. But the bigger the rx gets the more people like this you'll see. It all about the volume of posters. the more people you have the more people like ATX you'll see. It's not that the site was better a few years back, it was just smaller!

I agree with you here Steeser. I have noticed the increase in "Soap Operaness" and to think we are mostly MEN here.I never thought MEN were much into Soaps but I am learning I am wrong
