I don't know about other games or teams , but why is it that the home plate umpires seem to screw the Pirates pitchers by calling foul tips when it's clearly missed by the batter and should be a strikeout, yet they see it differently.I mean these situations are all to common against the Pirate pitchers with 3 incidents just this week.Last night it happened twice when the hitter clearly missed the ball and they called it a foul tip and then the next pitch one hits a home run and then in extra's the other gets a key hit to put the team ahead. This started earlier in the week when Derek Norris of the Padres, missed it by a mile and they called it a foul tip and he then either hit a home run or got a key hit,but yesterday was really a joke with it happening twice in the game, once with Reynolds and then with Peralta in the 10th.These are potential game winning calls/hits that the home plate umpires are blowing big time, but as ive seen for years they always stick it to the Pirates on calls if they get the chance.
bottom line is ,these umps suck
