the houston 1st half was 63.5 2 minutes before tip off. changed to 64 1 minute before game time. was going to do the under, but instead did the over. i had a little dough still in that account, figure i would make a play.

what is the definition for doing what i did though. and does it work long term. thanks.

gtc...to take advantage of steam...you need locals that dont use a line service or are slow moving...you will probably get locals that have lines off anyway because of moving the line to their own business....

first thing is to find them...

second is to get a line service if you bet enough to warrant it and get the steam

I would imagine you are a 100 player at most and this advice wont do you any good anyway

In the end it really doesn't matter......The winners will just pay the losers by 'redistributing the wealth'......:cripwalk:

I beleive that some books will try to balance their action in the final few minutes, often offering GOLDEN opportunites to place a bet....

On football totals I've seen bumped up a .5 the last 20-5 minutes. Most of the time its probably late $. I think it gets the majority of undecideds to bite on the over.

Ive always thought that Pinnacle does "fake" moves late to try to get line shopping money in at the last minute....and usually on the wrong side..

from what ive read though if you follow line movements, the early movement is where the sharp money is, and the late money is when there's no more value, they buy it back down for a middle or something to that extent?
