Why not toss the 10-20% upfront bonuses out the door and make the players put in some action before giving them a bone. I like this idea. Why do we not see it yet?

Bonuses used as a reward for business not as a ploy to get a sign-up.

Wagering rebates are the functional equivalent of reduced juice. But yeah, it's doable, and probably preferable. Problem is, a book can only give 1% or maybe 2% tops (which would be like -106 or so). This just isn't quite as enticing to the average square as a big 20% upfront smack you in the face bonus!

Bonuses create many problems and it's not the squares causing them.

General,

Given the lack of true opinionated lines anymore, offshore betting has become more of a commodity business than a specialty business (with a few exceptions). As such, you need to differentiate yourself in some manner.

rebates at places like bowmans and Bet19 are given on losses. The customer the books want never plan on losing.

I've said this from day 1. It's been 3 yrs I've been saying this. I don't mind seeing bonuses changing by saying, you play, we pay. That will be the motto. For every 10 dimes in action, a book should toss you 200 your way, or whatever they agree to. This way, the bonus whores, the bonus shoppers/hunters, will have no chance of being that anymore. Players cannot play the rollover, then quit. It would be stupid. This way the books will have customers stay with them for a very long time. Also, no more multiple acct holders anymore, as it would be useless as hell now. If the offshore industry became this way and took out bonuses for good and did it this way, I would say, bring it on.. All the scamming would now come to an end. At least no books can ever come in here again and say someone is taking advantage of their bonuses.. Lets bring it on..

Sick - good idea, natrually the problem is that without some sort of governing body like the Nev. Gaming CB. it will never work. As long as internet gambling is like the wild west where anything goes books and casinos are going to use bounus offers as marketing tools. With money in hand most players will look for the up-front bonus.

wil.
