This is a single athletic feat, not a career record.
I'd like to nominate Vince Carter jumping OVER Fredrick Weiss. Just remember the first time you saw VC fly over a 7 foot man to slam it on the down side.

***but the only problem with this one is jeremy giambi was SAFE on the play and only called out cuz he didn't slide. this really wouldn't even rank in the top 20 of all time and the fact you live in NY - where all people who live there think the world revolves around them when in reallity we couldn't give a f*ck what goes on there - shows how biased you are.
if we are going to rank best plays of all time - how about bill maz's HR to end the 1960 WS? no - it is not on any great plays list - but if you are gonna be a yankee homer (and are there any yankee fans out there who aren't - NOPE!) i can pick a play that is anti yankee.
Best (ie my favourite) plays:
Dorsett's 99yd TD run vs Vikings with only 10 men on the field for Dallas.
1979 All Star Game Dave Parker's Throw to gun down Downing at home.
Single game:
Theo Fleury 3 shorthanded goals
Ian Turnbull 5 goals by a defenceman
Tatis 2 grand slams same inning (thx to sick gambler for that one)
Depending on how warped your perspective is, Maradona's second goal against England in the '86 World Cup ("It hardly belonged to so apparently rational or rationalized an era as ours"-- Brian Glanville) or Carib offering 7/1 on the Nets to win the East last year.
Made game winning shot on Ehlo to advance to Rd 2 of playoffs
Game winning shot to win title vs Utah..also play before that went length of court for layup, then back down court got the steal..then came up and hit the shot with secs remaining. Was suppose to be fairy tale ending of career, as he posed the last shot.
Loved it when reporters asked him to compare his game to Drexlers...and he was nice in saying they were pretty similar..then reporters said "Well he is a better 3 pt shooter than you." The next game is when MJ set the new record for making 6 3ptrs in the first half..in blowing the Blazers away!
Did anyone ever see Gary Anderson, the running back for the San Diego Chargers years ago when he dove into the end~zone from about 8 yards out?!......Mannnnnn!......what a play.....He was like Superman flying through the air!
As a matter of fact, Sports Illustrated had a 2 or 3 page layout of it frame by frame back then.

I remember that Hache...didn t he play at Tampa at one time? he was a good back, kinda never fulfilled his ability...They use to show that play alot...
Yes Journey, he did play for Tampa. He had several outstanding plays, but never had a team around him. That guy was so athletic, Im telling ya. I wish I could find that play somewhere again Journey, that was awesome.
