I'm not sure about the best movie, but the best gambling SCENE is in Hardball with Keanu Reeves when he and his buddy are outside the bar with the Chicago Bulls game going on inside, in which he has Chicago +6.

Classic and everyone who has bet on sports can relate to that scene.

I was just about to mention this as the best gambling movie because of this scene lol

Let it Ride is funny but totally ridicules when it comes to real gambling movies like The Sting, or Cincinnati Kid. The original Hustler with Gleason and Neuman and it's long time coming sequel Color of Money are at least Gambling movies. Let it Ride has some funny but preposterous scenes that allow it to be an entertaining comedy but that is where it ends.

Even the now dated California Split (1974) one of the few pure gambling movies that attempts to show the day-to-day life of card-playing, sport-betting, dusk-till-dawn gamblers. even includes an appearance by poker legend Amarillo Slim. Elliott Gould was a very believable degenerate gambler who lived and breathed to gamble at any level. He certainly did not keep thousands if dollars in his shoes.

Even the farce Maverick with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster, Maverick had more gamble in it than Let it Ride.I admit Maverick is mostly slapstick the final card scene however is one that will be long remembered

To each his own though,

wil...
