MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - A Mexican man who got drunk, fell asleep on railroad tracks and was run over by a train slept through the entire episode and escaped unharmed, local officials said on Friday.

Jorge Lozano Lopez, a 32-year-old electrician, did not regain consciousness until well after paramedics arrived on the scene late on Wednesday night.

"He must have been very drunk to have slept through all that," said Jose Alfaro de la Rosa, a health official in the northern town of San Nicolas de los Garza. "It's a miracle he wasn't hurt."

The train's driver spotted Lozano Lopez on the tracks and frantically blew the whistle but was unable to rouse him or stop the train in time. The undercarriage passed within just a few inches of his body but did not touch him.

"I counted only six beers," a bewildered Lozano Lopez told local newspaper El Norte. "But who knows how many more there might have been. I don't remember

Just another reason I have decided to quit drinking.

I should have died over 500 times from different drinking incidents.

Speaking of train tracks, one time I was drunk and tried drivng my camaro down the railroad tracks. The car slid off the tracks and my car was stuck there on the tracks!

Looking down the tracks, could see a train approaching about 6 miles away. Had to run and get my buddies farm tractor and pull my car off the tracks just in time.

I need to write a book.

I like to polish off a few once in a while but the next day I generally feel like ass. How can people get drubk day after day? Are they immune to hangovers?

Swami- Yes, pretty much so.

Alot of them cure their hangover by drinking.

There are different levels of hangovers. If you know your limit, the hangover becomes just a way of life. I remember while in the Marine Corps staying out until the early morning hours drinking heavily, sleep 2-3 hours and then run 3-6 miles. Mind over matter. Being in good physical condition is a big asset.

A hangover is nothing more than dehydration combined with a lack of Vitamin B. (The heavy sugars consumed during heavy drinking totally deplete most people's supply of B).

All one needs to do is drink about 16 ounces of water before going to bed combined with a good dose of B, which comes packaged in a variety of ways.

Of course, most people who are drunk don't take the time to do that, thus the hangover.

Speaking as a recovered alcoholic who only drinks now on special occasions.
