By that I mean rule # 195, in the Ferengi "laws of acquistion", or whatever they call it on "Star Trek". "How do they profit? "... how many bars of gold-pressed latinum ,do they potentially earn ?

Shouldn't RX posters be expected to be card-counters, and worse ? Beat the Sportsbook ? At least drop less money, than average ?

Methinks they are insulting us ! It's like they say, you guys think you're smart... well here you go guys...stay here free... we will take you on !

I wouold think the just the opposite..

they are getting over 100 people (known gamblers) to their hotel for the weekend, Shrink is probably renting a room there for the party, liquor , etc....

So they are collecting on banquet fees...

Seems like a win-win for both sides...

in vegas, the name of the game is:

getting you to stay at MY hotel - as opposed to someone else's

see - if you stay at my place, (theoretically) you will then gamble, shop, eat, etc. at my place and whatever i may have lost in giving you a room at a discounted rate - or even free - will be more than made up with everything you spend at my place.

by having you at my place, i also keep you from doing all that at someone else's place and if i treat you right, the next time you come to town, you are going to stay at my place - or give me the first shot - which is all i ask for.

the GN is giving away about $150-$175 per person in free rooms - to a bunch of people who are there for a agmbling related junket. trust me - as fish pointed out - the GN will be the winner here when all is said and done!

Comps are the bait to keep the fish coming in. They save best bait for biggest fish, whales. When betting sports counted towards comps, I got a comped suite, comped health club, comped dinners at best restaurants. I got all this from one book/casino, and was working 5 or 6. I averaged a dime a week in comps. But whenever I played in the jungle of green felt, which is not like a safe pond, they got it all back plus more. I mean you wouldnt comp a block of rooms to the crusaders against gambling convention, but these degenerates? OF
