What is a "per head shop"?

heard this term being applied to certain books from time to time. can anyone explain exactly what it is. just curious.

And the answer is.....

A "per head" shop is a sportsbook that handles another local or stateside book's action for so much "per head" per week or month... this includes keeping track of their win or loss figure and whether a player reaches their settle figure or not... The fee usually ranges from $25.00 to $40.00 per week per player...

Caveat... these type shops do not run extremely "tight" lines in my experience; hence, the old saying, "you get what you pay for!" [Penny wise and pound foolish!] Therefore, a book should shop around for the best backoffice "offshore" sportsbook that he can find.

two options, a weekly fee paid to a call center for taking calls and some places do the online as well usually.

second option , the del rey, all you can eat per head shop. about 50-200 a head.
