What is a decent tip for a Limo Driver

I get complimentry limo transportation to and from a casino i frequent in Vegas.

Is a $5 tip, too cheap of a tip?

Depends, I hear best to tip him what you think a cab ride would cost is fair. Ride from airport to a Strip casino runs about $10, to downtown would be closer to $20. Also depends on how big a player you are. If you are the type the limo drivers wait on, then obviously a lot more. If you are just getting a ride here and there then they are picking up tips from others so they are doing ok.

Then think about it in an hourly wage sense, how much do you think he should make an hour? Pay him accordingly, figuring he makes a bit over minimum wage from the casino.

I drove a limo for about 6 months a while back...it was a lousy job, the big stars I had did't even tip me, they were under the impression the TV network was paying (which they were) you would think I guy with a millions of dollars could pull out a couple 20's lol...

Ed McMahon and his posse lol, John Ritter's wife Amy Yasbeck, Carol Leifer and Robert Townsend were the only B list stars I ever had in my limo...The best of Limo times were when you drove around a bunch of young adults, somewhere along the way you could find a hottie to mingle with...It was when I was first married though so I never took full advantage...

Proms and Weddings you could make a couple hundred in a night, but the rest of the jobs sucked...

Tip? Why the hell should I tip him? He gets paid already by his boss!

If he doesn't like the pay, he can quit...no one is forcing him to do that work.

If you want to play the role you got to hit the hip for at least a ten spot. If you are a regular at a casino you should give a double sawbuck(20). There are a few guys at the Nugget and Bellagio that always go out of there way for me so I even give them more. A friend of mine is coming out with an album later this year and it's all about casinos,gambling,and living the good life. Three songs from the album are below.
