They could possibly be playing FSU. Would interesting to see how their defense ( best in the country ) would do against FSU?

What if the stripes didnt give ND 3 P.I. calls and a weak late hit? Oh well, cant change the past.

Msu really impressed me down the stretch. They would give fsu or au fits. The rose bowl wasn't as close as the score indicated imo.

They are one of the best teams today. Without looking I thought they were lucky to bet a couple of Mac teams early I the yr.

They beat Purdue 14-0 and Minn 14-3. They had it go their way against Stanford and they are a solid defense. How about their defense and the Baylor offense. From everything I saw and heard last night Mark Dantonio had a vision about the Rose Bowl. His team was totally involved and he was resolute from start to finish. He had his team mentally and physically prepared.

Funny thing about comparing teams. Some teams peak early, some mid season, some late in the season, and then come bowl time some just stand out. Alabama has been Mr. Consistency for the past few years. A kick return away from going for NC #3 in a row. When comparing teams just compare them to Alabama and go from there. Good yard stick.

if the format for next year was implemented this year mich state would be a really tough out. michigan state peaked at the right time, much like wild card teams in the nfl go on runs all the way to a championship, michigan state would be a team like that. they would probably be underdogs all the way thru but they would be competitive in every game and probably pull off a few upsets. that defense is really solid, i was very impressed yesterday

They did play bad that game, but don't forget the refs gave that game to ND on the BS pass interference calls

I also saw them live play usf in their second game, and were 10000x better last night than the team I saw that day.

We all know Alabama should be playing in the BCS championship. Who cares who they play?

Die-Hard Spartan fan here - this has been an unbelievable season. That defense is nasty, with or without Bullough.

If they played FSU or Bama, I don't honestly think it would turn out pretty. Realistically, yesterday was their championship......I'm fine with that. What a dream ride it's been....along with being a cover machine!

Well said Double J. Diehard FSU fan here and I agree that MSU had a ridiculous season but wouldn't be able to compete with FSU this year. Their defense is nasty, but I don't think they would be able to score much on FSU's defense which is pretty impressive as well. It sucks they did lose that one game to ND. I rather see MSU in then another SEC team.

You are selling them short. After the way this season has been, this team can hang with any this year.

I don't see you bringing up the stripes and the PI calls that went your way in Rose Bowl.. pass was 15 ft over the WR head in end zone and they call PI. Next possesion, Stanford WR gets hit in the back long before ball gets there on a key play... No call.. In other words, don't cry about what happened in ND game if your going to accept the PI's in the Rose Bowl.. can't have it both ways

Because there was really only one questionable call and the better team won. Only you are the one saying Stanford got jobbed, whereas after the ND game even ND fans were saying how fortunate they were, not mention to media and neutral people questioning the calls. We get it already, the PAC12 is awesome, and could never lose fair and square. Stop with your fanboy nonsense already.
