What I’ve noticed more than previous years in these playoffs.

I don’t know much what happened during the NFL season but when I started watching the playoffs there seemed to be way more concussion hits and guys getting up woozy. It really seemed more prevalent than ever I can recall. I never saw the movie ‘Concussion’ and thought maybe it was politicized but based on what I’ve seen in these playoffs has me thinking a different tune. I love football and it pains me to think it’s become too violent and physically compromising to the body and brains of these athletes.

Some NFL athletes won’t even let their kids play the game. Junior Sean shot himself in the chest in 2012 because he believed he took on too many concussions and didn’t feel right in the head. He didn’t shoot himself in the head so doctors could study his brain.

Shit guys, maybe I’m wimping out on a sport I love to watch and if this keeps going in the direction it’s going I just have a gut feeling somebody’s going to take a head blow so bad it kills them. These athletes are getting so fast and strong it’s scary.

Just look at the NBA. They used to legally assault people every quarter and knock the fuck out of guys. Nowadays they've got none of that.

Yes! At least anecdotally. I've played both Rugby and football, and the hard plastic of football equipment makes the hits much more painful!
