I don't watch Fox News, so I really can't give an informed opinion on your comments about the network, but are you saying that there were not mistakes made in the CDC's initial response? Would have to strongly disagree there.

Everytime something that is a first happens, mistakes are made but overall....they were correct by saying it is not an epidemic to be worried about. Fox idiots were reporting this like we were all gonna get it

Not the biggest Fox news fan, but in reality you are wrong on this. Fox news had the sanest news coverage over CNN and MSNBC.
I caught this segment live, and was really impressed.

Not a lie at all. They went on and on about the doom this could have on america. Almost giddy about it while blaming obama. Hell one of the poly forum right wing idiots made a thread blaming obama for it coming to america

Sheppard's the main anchor at fox, and gets the most air time. He went above and beyond anything at CNN and MSNBC which were reporting hysteria.

Shep smith is on air for about 5 hours a week. One 10 min of going rougue does not make up for what they did

Have you seen the pew poll about fox news scaring people about ebola?

Have you seen elizabeth hasslebeck get shut down by a legit doctor when she tried to frighten people?

Did you see the quack they put up that said "be afraid people" when talking about ebola?

You got one smart 10 minute comment by the only close to normal anchor on fox news. That's your argument?lol

A quick google about fox and ebola would fill you in. Do better next time

I don't understand why people get unglued over cable news networks. If you don't like it, don't watch it. If you hate Maddow/Hannity/O'Reilly/Matthews, don't pay attention to them. I barely have enough time to watch stuff I care about, where do these people find the time to watch stuff they know will piss them off? Find a new hobby. Bitching and moaning about Fox/MSN/LSM is a waste of time. Do better next time.

The way the media covers things now...actually shapes opinion more than anything else in this country. You may not deem it important but bad and irresposible media coverage is something that needs to be pointed out. If you can't see how trying to scare viewers that a plague is coming to this country, by a cable news station that is watched by millions and millions, is not good...then not much else I can say. Again, they weren't the only one being hysterical but as always they were the worst.

I also saw all the hysteria on CNN, MSNBC, internet news sources, arm chair doctors here at thrx, and corrected plenty of ignorant people on facebook. Of all the reporting everywhere I'd seen, Shepard was the only one that reported with any dignity. With opinion shows, you have to expect partisan garbage, that's the way it is at all the networks. The Anchors at CNN and MSNBC sensationalized, and did not cover it in an honest manner as Shepard did, who actually represents Fox's news reporting, while Opinion shows are just assholes. Shepard and Fox news deserve some credit here.

This is nothing new. The media blows everything out of proportion because it sells. I never said it was good, I said it isn't worth getting unglued. I don't care for MSNBC and I don't care for Fox, so while I watch very little news on TV, when I do, I watch CNN. CNN oversold the hell out of the Ebola scare, so I stopped watching. If people want to buy into that crap, that's their deal. It doesn't kill anyone to be irrationally terrified of Ebola. Also, let's be honest here, you don't hate Fox News because of Ebola, you hate Fox News because they're the right wing anti-President Obama network.

There was hysteria on other cable news stations as well and shep smith did a great job...but one guy who had a few minute common sense does not make up for the rest of their disgraceful coverage. Fox and friends spent weeks trying to tell people this was on obama. Hell, repubs ran campaign ads about it.

I hate fox news for many reasons....no doubt. They are by far the most dishonest news org I've ever seen. Hell, they lie in their slogan fair and balanced.
