another stupid ass athlete. can sign for 20M now or wait and re-enter and get half that or third if he's lucky.

Do we have shoot himself in the head option for being such an idiot over this.

If he had half a brain, he'd sign with SF like as of yesterday, because if he goes back into the draft in 2010, he'll be up against a good crop of WR's coming out, so he'd probably go late first round or early second round.

Not only that, if he waits until 2010 he'll have even more of a primma donna label on him, and not to mention SF would still own the rights to him (I think)

Yeah, I guess a "shoot himself in the head" option would be good one.
And most likely, would have Won the Voting...:):)

i hope he's a bonehead and goes into the draft next year. Watch his stock fall and realize that no NFL team wants to deal with an ego that large.

The best choice for Michael Crabtree is obviously to sign with the 49ers

The best choice for me is to be able to watch him fall to the third round in next years draft

If he doesn't sign with SF, he will not be selected in the first round next year.

seeing that tampering has been rampant with cashtree, his best option is to sit out the year and sign with the cowboys for the rumored $40M that's been promised by mr. jones. apparently, goodell is giving jerry a pass on this one since he'll need him for the new CBA.

is it right? no. would i hope cashtree busts in that case? sure. but he'll get to stay at home and play for his favorite team at that point - a risk that is his right to make no matter how it turns out professionally.

Reminds me of the Mike Williams (USC WR from a few years back) situation. I'd sit out til next year and play for a good team rather than have my career killed in SF.

Sitting out a year (and getting drafted by the Lions) destroyed Mike Williams career.
