Haven't gotten any replies in the NBA forum thought i'd post here.
thanks
I really do not think this game should be bet. It's basically a pick em so you'd think the home team but keep this in mind.
Detroit has dropped important games at home in all 3 series
Game 2 vs Milwaukee
Game 5 vs NJ
Game 4 vs Indiana
Larry Brown's team did the same thing with Philly couple years back, not won game 1, but i mean just throw away home court whenever they had it. I do not think this Pistons team represents much value at home because of their inconsistency there. I would not lay a dime on the Lakers either.
So here's what i'm doing. I figure these two scenarios will not happen
a) Lakers winning all 3. Do not tell me they did it a coupe years back, that was a much better team then this years' Lakers and they were up against a much inferior opponent who was very banged up.
b) Detroit winning all 3. Never been done before.
So i'm taking the Game 3 loser and if for some reason they lose game 4 too, i'll double up on game 5.
So if Det wins game 3, take Lakers game 4.
If Lakers win game 3, take Detroit game 4.
I just think this is the best strategy as many tangibles play in both teams favor in game 3. Detroit is not invincible at home, Lakers not great on the road.
Take it for what it's worth.
thanks
