What do you guys think of these "Game of the Year" bets?

What's the consensus? Is it okay to do one of these bets where you put 10x your normal bet on a single play? Is it irresponsible? Is it a necessary part of building a bankroll? Does anyone fade those type of posts or has anyone tracked them on this site?

I've actually gotten pretty good at deciphering who and when to follow.

Follow the old guys and fade the young guys is pretty standard procedure for me.

Thought about this alot. A single game of the year selection, a true GOY (not conference GOY, underdog Goy, etc) makes no sense. If one has a GOY say in week 5 isn't it possible you cap a game in week 8 that rates even higher. Unless its the last game of the season its really impossible to say a game is a GOY. Personally by the end of a season GoGo probably has 3-7 games that were played as a GOY in terms of the wager size.
