Well…. Kevin Sumlin is a real game strategist…. I could have picked eleven fat kids out of the stands and held onto that lead. Rosen truly impressive in the second half….. first time I watched him.

Not sure if Purdue played as good as score indicated….. I did not watch that one…..

I think Vandy QB Shumur and RB Webb are decent…. Not a fan of Vandy or coach Derek Mason but their defense is capable and with Shumur and Webb Vandy finally has a little something on offense. MTSU certainly not much of a test with their defense…. but still a good showing for Vandy.

I watched the Florida/Michigan game close….. Florida obviously overrated…. but I think Michigan is also overrated.

Not sure what to think about Baylor….

Missouri decided to go with a PAC defensive scheme…

And, although the game is not over yet, Paul Johnson is a better game coach than Butch Jones….. but if you are betting on college football you should already know that!

Uofl fumbled twice on the 1 yard line, should have been 49-28. Purdue has a good offense and will put up some points for sure.

My biggest takeaway from the week is that Alabama is easily the best team in the country, they should not lose a game.

Also, NC State has a covey of receivers that can flat catch the ball. Watching the Tennessee drops reminded me.

I do my think Bama is much different than last year. They are phyisically dominant but their qb cannot throw the forward pass well enough to win the championship. Phenomenal d and special teams and running game and Qb has poise and leadership but Saban should follow his own advice after last year and put in Tua. Also Clemson still a touch underrated. All the pundits that thought the team was all Watson had no idea how they have been recruiting. The team that played Bama dead even the last two years and who has beaten the Buckeyes twice, Sooners twice, Lsu, Florida st, etc etc etc in the last 4/5 years is for real. The amount of talent and depth on the roster is crazy good. Wouldn't be shocked if it is a three peat for the final. We'll see! Should be exciting as always!!

Big 12 took a hit this weekend with Baylor, Texas and WVa taking losses. Sooners, Pokes, Horn Frogs and Wildcats better perform strong to keep the conference relevent.

PAC12 looks to be pretty solid top to bottom. Some were thinking CU and Utah would fall off, its one game but they appear to be okay. UCLA might actually live up to potential for a change. And how about CAL going on the road and winning a game at Carolina in a game that kicked off at 9AM PST. They learned from a few years ago when they played MD and sleepwalked through the first half. Nice job by the new HC Wilcox and his staff.

ACC is Clemson's to win once again if they stay healthy. They took a big hit with UNC, FSU, NCST taking losses on Saturday. No shame in losing to Bama, but its how you lose to them with all the special team mistakes and TO's.

Don't see anyone in the SEC challenging Bama unless it is Auburn. It would not surprise me if UK, Mizzou or Vandy wins the SEC East. Surprised that Bama still does not throw the ball well, and that they don't manage 3rd downs well because of it. But they won't get challenged until November because Saban will out coach and out scheme everyone on the schedule.

B10 - I'm not sure UMich is as good as they looked, because UF is just offensively challenged. PSU continues to roll, and OSU is only going to get better. And it was nice to Sparty show up and play against a pretty decent Bowling Green team. Dont think anyone in the B10 East challenges the West. Not even Wisky who struggled with Utah St.

Mt West - Keep an eye on the SDSU-ASU game this weekend. Don't think MtWest is gonna be good this year but keep an eye on Aztec as they go to ASU and then get Stanford at home (off the USC game). IF, and it's a big IF the win those two game, only other games that they may have trouble with are Boise and UNM and both are in San Diego.

Mentioned this after Week 1 about SDSU. There should be a real opportunity to make some money on SDSU this season in Mnt West. If they can escape MtWest, they will be Group of 5 entry into one of the big bowls. They just outplayed a pretty good Stanford team.

USC is overrated...same with Michigan.
Unless they're both improve by leap and bounds... don't see USC makes playoffs or Michigan stays in top 10

Will add the following. Play against So Carolina and Arizona St for the rest of the year.

Az State has Oregon, @Stan, Wash, @Utah, USC, Colo, @UCLA, @Ore St and Zona. At best, I can see maybe Ore St and UCLA just because they have so many injuries already by the time Nov comes around UCLA might not have any players of note left to play. ASU is very limited. They can't run the ball, they can't protect the QB and they play no defense at all.

So Carolina lost Debo Samuels who has been a 1 man wrecking crew for them offensively. He broke his leg and is OUT for the year. They have La Tech, @A&M, Ark, @Tenn, Vandy, @UGa, Fla, Woffard, Clemson. Maybe a win over Arkansas and Wofford. La Tech will be a nailbiter next week. So Carolina can't run ball and Debo Samuel was a matchup nightmare for opposing teams on offense and in the return game. I don't think they have enough playmakers for a young QB to overcome

Texas played an inspired game. They found their QB. USC was flat after a huge win last week v stanford. Also, SC spent the first half missing opportunity after opportunity. Also Darnold has to stop the TO's. Another Pick 6.

Oregon is a fade in the 2nd H until they prove otherwise. Pound their TT over especially in the 1st H

One of the TV bobbleheads summed it up best last night....There shouldn't be any rankings until after 3 weeks of play. My God, Vandy beats a non-con ranked opponent for the first time in something like 50 years. Big 12 is gonna be a 2 horse race IMO, Pokes and Sooners. GLTA this season.

Unless the Michigan offense gets fixed in a hurry they are going to go 8-4. Shit they may lose to purdue next week. The defense can only do so much

Don't forget TCU. Just saying. And Vandy is better than you would think. They've got one of the better defenses in the country. But they are not deep, so injuries could hurt them. They have an interesting game this week v Bama.

Sec is nothing special aside from Bama. Acc, big 10, PAC 12 are better overall conferences this season.

Kansas is still an autofade.

Clemson still top 5. Bama D not as dominant. LSU made a huge mistake. OKL St, whoa. Service academies getting a ton of points auto play.

Will Muschamp is still Will Muschamp.

Jim McElwain and Butch Jones are dead men walking.

LSU has to be having buyers remorse. Honestly, I thought the hire of Matt Canada at OC was brilliant. Not sure what's going on there, but 7 points is unbelievable. I think Miss State is a top 20 team, but I don't think they're 30 points better than any SEC team, much less LSU.

Mullen has MSU looking good. I want to see how consistent they are....at UGA this week should tell a lot. UGA has very solid D, shaky O w/ true freshman Fromm under center.

How will FSU look w/ true freshman QB? They've had 3 weeks to lick their wounds and get ready to play their next game....almost like an entire fall camp and/or spring practice. Jimbo can coach QBs, but a true freshman is a true freshman.

Clemson is legit. Won't be surprised to see them and Oklahoma or Bama in the title game.

Are Kentucky and Vandy for real?

Missouri U is in disarray. They are lacking talent and now are second guessing themselves. Fired the DC after two games.
Auburn -18 should name the score, they will get at least 48, maybe 60 points this Saturday.

I'm willing to bet a few bills that OSU puts them out of the race Saturday. As for my Dores, let me tell ya something. This is a classic beer and pussy game, as in the Dores been getting plenty of beer and pussy after the win over K. State. If Hurts has even a half-assed game, gonna be a long night for Vandy, I don't think they can score against Bama. JMO
