Back around 2001, I stumbled upon The Prescription or as I have come to know it, The Rx. I looked around for a few minutes, but didn't really give it a second look. A couple years later, I somehow came in contact with the site again. This time, I became a registered member. I began posting, asking questions, learning lots and having a good time. NO MATTER the question I had, I could always count on posting it in the offshore forum and getting some kind of answer, and usually a helpful one. I continued posting daily about sports betting, poker, casino games, sports, and lots of nonsense. Seemed like something a loner/loser would do, but I didn't care, it was fun and there were contests! There were issues along the way. Anyone remember when the site would go down for hours at a time and you started twitching 'cause you were unable to post/read? I do. Or how 'bout when they changed the forum host. Whew! i didn't visit for like a week because I hated it so much. But I came back (doesn't everyone) and ended up liking it better! I continued to post. And post, and post, and post some more. Everything was cool....
Then sometime in May or June, I can't remember, EVERYTHING changed...
I told a good friend of mine to join the site, and as you may recall, he did. I don't know what you did Koidog, but all of a sudden Roxy's (didn't think a long post like this wouldn't have Roxy's name somewhere, did you?) gender came into question, and 23,378 people actually cared! The General & The Shrink annouced they were leaving. I got offered a position as a MOD at a industry site. I accepted as it seemed like a fun thing to do and now I got MODS here emailing me, people at "my new site" asking if it's true I was becoming a MOD at therx (i have no idea who made that up). People are posting all kinds of stuff. Shrink is a thief they say. Some say that's absurd, he is a stand up guy! AK posts their new site address (how in the hell did he get that?) Bet Royal this, Bet Royal that. Recorded phone calls, doctored tapes, $100,000 bribes. Alan Palmer. Rob Funk becomes a MOD. JimFeistSux gets tossed from another site, while PeteRoseJr wears his welcome out at therx. J-Man posts an IM...this shit is crazy! I'm just rambling now because I am trying to think of all the drama in this "forum world"......
