So there has been a lot of Talk about the Deadline .... The REAL LVH uses a 11AM PST Deadline ( 2PM EASTERN ) and in the past here at The RX we have had 5 & 6PM EASTERN.
Last Year we had a few guys Copying the Real LVH Leaders, and a couple of RX posters voiced their opinion about it.
Which forced me to Change the RX deadline from 6PM to 3PM EASTERN.

Soooooo ..... even though we have most on-board about the New Deadline ...... I figure we take it to a VOTE.

Anyone can Vote... because it would be hard to just get Who has Entered. But to make it count for the people that Have Entered.... I have made this a PUBLIC POLL

The Poll will end on Sept. 4th... 11:59PM

I'm hoping that Everyone that has already Entered the Contest, will VOTE.....

There will be Four Choices

Why not use the exact same deadline as the Las Vegas contest?

If someone who puts up $1500 can meet a deadline, can't see why $150 players in the RX contest can't
meet the same deadline.

I don't think there was much complaining really. The Deadline was changed to more closely match the Westgate SuperContest Deadline cuz this Contest Mirrors that and some felt the Deadline should be the same or similar to that cuz they felt this would make this contest more of a Pure Handicapping Contest so it'd come down to guy's 'capping ability...with the earlier deadline.

Other guys said a later deadline might lead to more entries and a bigger Prize Pool. It might not get more entries too. Later Deadline might not make a difference at all in regard to how many enter so maybe Pure Handicapping Contest and the earlier Deadline is what sounds better to a guy....and the path he'd choose to vote for.

Thats all the poll is about, which one sounds better to you.

Voted 3:00 PM. We should be mirroring the Hilton Contest in every way possible. And copying the Real Hilton leader picks is just wrong. We should never have a deadline that would allow that to happen.

Perfectly Stated. A guy would Vote for a Later Deadline if they think "borrowing" picks from a Top Entrant in the SuperContest is the same as copying Phil Steele's Newsletters Plays or robbing picks offa some dude's Twitter Feed which....I don't personally see the difference between using LVH Plays or using Nelly Green Sheet Plays or StatFox but some do.

Excellently stated though Michelangelo. That presents perfectly the position of one who'd be in favor of an earlier deadline while wanting as much time to get picks in, thinking that maybe a later Deadline could mean more money for YOU if you WIN or even just Finish Top 5 or whatever it is since theres a chance more will enter with as Late a Deadline as possible if thats how you feel then you'd Vote for Later Deadline.

Easy Stuff.

Thanks Mich.

Exactly.......no one on this site doesn't have to drive anywhere to put their plays in its a few computer key strokes.

I said in another thread first 12 weeks 7pm, final 5 weeks 3pm, or some variation. I want biggest pool possible and any "copying" would likely come in the later weeks. I want to mirror LVH super with number of entrants.

Well that would be a Thrill ..

as far as that 7PM deadline... I wouldn't go that far

mixing up might cause a problem as well... it's bad enough Every year there has been guys missing the deadline ( including Myself )

Actually, I would think there would easily be more than 200 entrants for how big this site is.......maybe its not as big as i thought.

There are all kinds of ways to increase flow, it takes imagination......then again, I like the size of site just the way it is, not like across the way where it gets crazy stupid over there with hundreds of GOY's on Saturday & Sundays.

Way too crazy.......but yes it would be nice to have a ton more in the contest, but that's not reality as of now.

80% of your Avg. Poster on All Forums are a $10 Bettor, and I'm probably being nice on that %
some probably can't come up with $150 all at once... JMO because this Contest is a No Brainer for Anyone that gambles on Football

Really? I didn't think it was that high......I've never known locals that ever took $10 bets. It was always at least $25 in my area.......but the offshore is like a $1

I guess you're right, if we're avg 10,000 people on NFL Sundays, you would think we could get like 300-400 entries easily, but like you stated, the price of the contest may be a bit much for some......some bettors feel more comfortable betting str wagers instead of contests......
