Not separate programs . But a combined basketball / football history ...

There's no point talking about all time because it would probably be one of the Ivy League schools. Things were pretty different back then. The national championship in college football used to be just 1 game. As in, there was no season. Only two schools would come together once a year and play for it. I think Yale has 25+ college football championships.

In the modern era in the last 30-40 years or so, you are probably looking at UCLA I guess...

Florida

They've been dominant or near the top for wayyyy too long, when other top schools, have dropped off through the years......

some that come to mind would be mich state, ucla, oklahoma, texas, georgia tech, florida, michigan, ohio state, wisconsin, LSU....

these are some schools that "usually" field a solid team in both sports....

but Florida as far as champs, is unparalleled in the past decade or so..

The last 20 or so years, Florida (NCAA title football 96, 06, 08....basketball Final 4 1994, 2000, 2006, 2007).

But there have been several the last 20-40 years:

Michigan
Ohio State
UCLA
Texas
Michigan State
Oklahoma

Even Kentucky and North Carolina have had their moments in Football (bowl teams).....

Agree. The cold weather teams seem to suffer more and more each year though.

The days of something like an ND top 3 foots top 25 hoops are long gone.

Anything TEX / CAL / FLA will always hold that little advantage. Kids tend to not play for pride and tradition these days.

They want to be in a fun warm weather place.

Florida has won 2 FB and 2 BB NC's in the past 4 years.

As of right now, they are the "sports school" who will get thousands of extra applicants applying to their school that normally wouldn't because "they have a good ____ team".
