I'm itching at the opprotunity for a new NFL season. I'm curious however what you all think will have the greatest effect on the game/teams this year?

There is little doubt in my mind that if Farve joins the Vikings, their offensive palns change drastically. With the options theyhaqve at QB now, Minny is a run based team that will only throw the ball to keep defenses honest, or to catch up if they are behind and the clock is running out on them. Add Farve, and Minny openes up their offense more. NOt that they become a passing team, because that willnot happen, but the addition of Farve adds 20-30% more passing plays to the offense.

Brady's return would potentially have the biggest effect, in my mind. I say potentially because until we see him on the field we just don't know for certain what kind of shape that knee is in. If he's the Brady of old -- if he's even 90 percent of the Brady of old -- that opens up a lot of things for the Patsies.

If he's not all or most of the way back, though, I'd lean to Warner's return to the Cardinals. What he gives the team is stability, and we saw last season how much that helped them.

Favre would bringslittle more than hype and interceptions to Minnesota, in my opinion. He's flamed out late in the season for the last several years and I see no reason to expect it wouldn't kick in even earlier this year. I figure he'll look excellent for the first four or five games, then start forcing passes again.

I'm shocked they Brady coming back is leading this poll. You're going from Cassell to Brady. Its not like he's coming back to fill in for Flutie, overall Cassell did a good job for the Patriots compared to a lot of QB's in this league. I voted for Cutler to Bears because there is a big difference there upgrading from Orton.

Cassell to Brady is like good to Great

Orton to Cutler is like bad to Good.

I'm excited to see what the Bears offense can actually do with a decent QB in there. Not saying Cutler is the greatest but he has confidence and can sling the ball around.

I thinkone of the problems Cutler is going ot have is finding receivers who are capable of running deep routes. Remember, a RB led the Bears in receptions last year.

TO to Bills. Think they make the playoffs this year. Started out great last year, 5-0 I believe. They are at training camp a mile from me and he is the star of the show. Seems to have his shit together thus far.
