Doctors

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.
(

Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
© Accidental deaths per physician are 0.171.

>>>>>>>>>>>>

Now think about this: Gun Owners
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80
million)
(

The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is
1,500.
© The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.000188.

Statistics courtesy of FBI
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous
than gun owners.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Remember, 'Guns don't kill people, doctors do.'
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE
DOCTOR.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors
before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!

Out of concern for the public at large, I withheld the statistics on
lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical
attention!

I know a wise old World War II veteran who once said, "If you hang around doctors long enough, that son of a bitch will have you in a hospital before dark."

Clearly then the solution is to do away with doctors, right?^<<^

If guns were taken away there WOULD be a net savings of innocent lives

I once knew a Doctor and a Pilot for that matter, who purposely scheduled their days off after "Poker Night" in which they would consume mass quanities of alcohol and marijuana. I would never let this doctor cut on me even when he was sober and I would not fly even after 36 hours of sobriety with the Pilot in question. Call me old fashion, but if an individual is smart enough to be a doctor and a pilot, he/she should use better judgement about "Partying" so hard that they can't function the next day.

I don't think it's old fashioned, I think it's blindly idealistic. Anyone older than 30 probably can remember having a doctor that either smoked during a visit, or allowed smoking in the waiting room.

Being intelligent enough to be a doctor or pilot has no requisite for judgement when outside their profession. I used to live next door to a cop who drove home drunk 3-4 times a month.

Yes I can remember "The Family Doctor" who smoked. Maybe my reseasoning is blindly idealistic. Point taken.

They're just waiting and biding their time until those of us in these countries where the doctors and immunologists are covertly infecting infants and killing adults are whittled down to a lucky few.

Come on now!!! Are you comparing the UNited States to a bunch of third world shitholes? Or to ones around WWI and WWII

Trust me if the govt's wants to come after you, shooting back will only make it worse. Waco, anyone?

And since that video is so "fair and balanced" I would certainly like to see the counterargument and results from Australia

Guns dont kill people, I do.

Love that line. Anyway...

If we didnt have guns, I will admit there would probably be less murders.

But trust me, if I really wanted to kill someone and didnt have a gun, Im sure I could find a way.

Murders might decrease if you do away with guns, but violence sure wont.

If America starts going door to door confiscating guns it's for one reason only, to enslave the public. History has shown that.

Either way, look at the war on drugs. In 1972 when Richard Nixon started the war on drugs the federal budget allocation was $101M. Going into fiscal year 2001 the federal budget allocation was $20B. Yet there were more drugs in the country in 2001, they were better quality, and they were less expensive then they were in 1972.

Now why would the "war on guns" be any different. If guns were banned, they would be MUCH easier to get illegally. Hell, I could go into Detroit and come out with an automatic weapon that wasn't even manufactured in the United States if it meant THAT much to me. Guns will always be easy to obtain. All banning them does is create a haven for criminals to rape and loot innocents.

You get into a fist fight...you both walk away...get in a gun fight...chances are you're both going to the hospital or the morgue

True. Doesnt dismiss any point I made though.

If I want to kill you. I can come up with a much better way then trying to smash your face in with my fist. Boring. And I might lose.

True. However, anyone who gets in a "gun fight" is a thug who has no respect for any laws what so ever. If they have that mentality, they will have a gun whether it's illegal or legal.

More reason for law abiding citizens to have guns. :103631605

Honestly I'm fascinated with America's obsession with guns.
My first job was at a shotgun range in Canada, I was the kid who loaded the clay pigeons and then eventually lauched them. We have tonnes of guns in Canada but the same obsession isn't there.

In Canada I can't go to a gun show and buy handguns from some guy without ID or background checks. Just curious why they allow it in the US.

Wouldn't that be a good way for criminals to stock up?
